Very disappointed to find on checkout that the supposed £50 swipe they demanded of my card for health and safety was in fact to cover possible damage to the room and would not be refunded until my room was cleaned and inspected if they don’t trust me then I don’t trust them I refused to leave until room had been inspected and my refund authorised

Great location, very comfortable beds, the bathroom felt outdated and honesty a bit dingy. The bath itself was very shallow and didn’t drain properly. The curtains where full of dust and the towels had absolutely seen better days.

Nice hotel with parking (extra at £5 per day) Rooms were cold so had to put heater on all night which wasn't a problem. Staff very friendly. We stayed on floor 6 top floor room 602 and would definitely consider staying again.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel, with a stunning sea view right in front of us. The room was warm, clean, and very comfortable, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The swimming pool was great, and the hot tub was perfectly warm, adding to the relaxation. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we’d definitely stay here again.

Although I stayed for one night, the overall experience was good. The environment was quiet, the front desk service was very friendly and kind, the parking and transportation were very convenient, and the breakfast in the morning was very rich and delicious. I booked this hotel twice by accident because the Trip.com key button did not work. They were very rude and condescending when explaining to me that I needed to go back to the third-party agent. The latter then told me to go back to the hotel and I just went from one side to the other. it was just an accident I don’t know why they were so insistent in not refunding me.

DDanielle RixonAbsolute brilliant hotel, staff so friendly and welcoming, can I just say, paul on reception was an absolute legend, as I rang up in the morning to request an early check-in as we arrived after 12 and check-in wasn't untill 3, but paul put a lock on our room, so it was ready for us when we arrived, give that man a raise. Perfect location and comfortable rooms, will deffo recommend, and if im visiting Newcastle again, I think this hotel will be my first choice, depending on price. GGuest UserLiterally next to the train station so perfect for us. On site pool was fab for my son. Fridge in room was perfect as I had medication that needed to be kept cold. The window was open when we arrived. So we closed it. But our room was freezing. We were given a heater for our room which helped. We got a too good to go surprise bag (breakfast) from the reception and my son couldn’t eat it all. There was loads. 11am checkout was perfect too. Definitely stay again.

MMs JacksonThis was our 3rd stay in this fabulous hotel, nothing too much trouble reception staff great when we wanted to check in early, we left bags in their care and came back later on to collect & check into our luxurious King Room. Lovely comfy bed and everything we needed. Ordered an Omlette for breakfast which was included in our rate, was the best Omlette I've ever had so complements to the chef for that, lots of other continental & full English options available everything you could wish for including fresh fruit yoghurts cheeses chocolate muffin was lush too! Thanks for another brilliant stay at a very reasonable price through Trip.com. We will be back soon.

GGuest UserI have been here before. Good things: convenient location to central train station and shops. Nice and relaxing swimming pool with jacuzzi and steam room. Rooms are OK but clean with coffee and tea and ironing facilitie. Staff generally friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Bad things: dinner is limited options, expensive and not good value for money. To add an insult to the injury I had a dessert and there was 1/2 strawberry 🍓 on the top for decoration. I left to last bite to finish with and the taste was terrible. It had onions taste 🤧 my guess they used the same knife for cutting the onions for cutting the strawberry and it was not nice at all - just disgusting and unprofessional. Apart from this everything was good and I would be back but unlikely I would like to here again.

PParmo1000I understand that the hotel has been renovated. I just cannot understand why there were so many bad reviews. I found it perfectly nice for an airport hotel especially. The price fluctuated wildly but on the day when I was arriving, the price reached its lowest since I have been monitoring it. By foot it's opposite the terminal and slightly to the right. It only takes 7 minutes and a small sign will appear. It is harder to find than you think, best to ask advice or use an online map. It had everything you expect, courteous staff, kettles and coffee, even a bath! The only think I found slightly sub par was the bed, the mattress seemed to be cheap, slightly uncomfortable it was just what I needed. There was nothing wrong with it whatsoever. 10am checkout is a bit stingy though.

GGuest UserThe staff at the hotel was very friendly. As we booked quite close to our actual trip date we didn't get a great room. Our room was at the end of the hallway next to the staff elevator. unfortunately, the door to that elevator was open half the time we were there with food scraps waiting to be taken away out in the open area. This led to ”food smells” being wafted into our room. we had to open the window the moment we entered our room because of the stuffy smell but once the window was open and there was ventilation, everything was fine.

GGuest UserMe and my husband staied there very recently , the hotel is clean but very old and the amenities are very poor . We booked a classic room the room was large and spacious but very old furniture and the bathroom too was very old . The amenities were very poor there was no comp tap water in the room which I found it very strange as is supposed to be a 4 star hotel. Staff was nice very indifferent though they did not give any information about breakfast time or WiFi and they did not ask the purpose of our stay( maybe because we were not British ) . Overall was nice stay but not 4 star hotel.
