Five star service! Quick check in and out. The friendly and outgoing staff made sure you are looked after. Can provide airport transfer services if arranged in advance. Location in Kuta/Legian is very close to the beach and shops but the street is very narrow and can confuse some taxi drivers. The rooftop pool and bar offer a great view of the beach and surrounding area. The restaurant downstairs has a good lunch and dinner menu and has buffet breakfasts for reasonable prices. The room was cleaned daily, serviced, and had good amenities. Overall, a very pleasant stay and I would stay again. Highly recommend.

Great location for shopping and lots of restaurants nearby. Overall the staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was ok in terms of size but more space for putting up wet swimming suits are needed.
One very unpleasant experience was that there was no clean up for our room in the last night of our stay. We certainly put up the clean-up sign. At that night we have to call for bath towels and drinking water (the hotel does not recommend to use tap water, even after boiling. They provide two large bottles of drinking water instead). To make it even worse, they didn’t bring anything to us until I made another call 20 minutes later. And still, I asked for two towels and they just gave me one (we are a family of four).

The location was very convenient especially it’s connected to a small shopping mall with money exchange, bakery and massage shop.
What we like:
The location
The pool is well maintained
The staff is responsive
Flexible check out time
What can be better:
The bed sheets can be cleaner
Breakfast choices are limited
Breakfast quality
I will definitely back to this place. It's an amazing property, an awesome padi field and beach view, a stunning pool, and an environment.
Breakfast: Nice food and good presentation
Staff: helpful, friendly,
Room: Best glamping property, you will love the bed and decorations, furniture is natural elements
Transportation or tour: You might have a discussion with the hotel staff, as they do not allow other tour n travel in that area. You need to use local transport only, but no worries price is reasonable

Excellent service, very friendly staff even we arrived at 1am, Agus (if I remember his name correctly) helped us for everything. Very good first impression.
The facility located on the top of the blue point, perfect spot for surf watching and stunning view of the ocean. But they are only on the side of the pool, bar and the canteen.
Rooms are on the other side of the parking, which is aged and got no much view from the balcony. And the area is under renovation so you will be wake up by the noise around 9am no matter what.

The hotel and staff were amazing. The restaurants had really great food, as well. Merusaka Nusa Dua has to be one of the best hotels I have stayed in and will definitely come back next year

Incredible location by the beach, yet quiet and secure. So much to see and do around the property, and their 3 pools are wonderful. Reception staff and the breakfast room team are exceptionally warm and so attentive. I truly appreciate this property and will make a point to return for sure.
Our room was very nice and we had a comfortable stay, however the rest of the hotel is in need of TLC. We only stayed one night so was ideal for a place to sleep but not recommended as a long stay as very remote and hotel lacks the facilities.
Our room was very nice and we had no issues so I would stay again.

It was a very lovely resort, huge & had lots of activities.
Very friendly/polite workers.
They gave welcoming drinks and string bracelets (consist of 3 elements; The red element symbolizes creativity and bravely, the black element symbolizes powerful and protected us from bad spirit and white element symbolizes spirituality and goodness).
They gave fruit platter in room.
I accidentally missed a step on the front fountain at the entrance steps on my way out walking, twisted my ankle badly on the first day. My husband asked for an ice pack & they gave us a bucket of ice. That was lovely.
Need to focus on cleanliness especially on bathroom - showers (slight molds) and bathtubs (painted on - in the first room before they moved us closer to our son. The paint was peeling off as we filled bathtub with water.
The bathtub was slippery in the second room, my son fell in & hurt his back & hips.
They managed to find me a room so that I could be together with my son (adjoining room) but the air conditioning was not working. I asked them for at least portable AC but they only gave us a pedestal fan.
Gym was very tiny, not balance as there are over 500 rooms in the complex. Plus, lack of monitoring, water dispenser is empty.
The squash balls aren’t pumped so it doesn’t bounce at all.
Porter need to be extra careful when pushing trolley cart, I got struck with it from the back so hard. I injured myself but he didn’t mean it, he was very apologetic.
Therefore we decided to checkout one day early, even though we paid for it.
I asked for lunch as a swap and paid the difference since we won’t be around for the next day breakfast (due to early checkout) but not possible but instead they did prepare & pack-up breakfast boxes in advance. That was lovely of them.

AAnonymous UserThis hotel is for family relaxing resort type. Quite far from Bali Collection and others central places. Nusa Dua area is good to relax in pool or beach whole day. Beach water is a bit not clean in this area and rocky for kids. Hotel has several pools area. We sat at pool side whole day with drinks and snack.
GGuest UserWalking distance to massage and food options. Nice beach area which is good as people reserve the sun beds from sunrise. Breakfast has a good variety and room service is reasonably priced. A bit ‘resorty’ but has everything you want and great for the price
GGuest UserA very disappointing stay at this hotel. Issues started at check in and continued throughout our stay . Our family booked 5 rooms at the Alam KUL KUL and we all had issues with facilities and getting any action taken to address them . To start we visited the hotel in mid November 2023 to enquire about late checkout when we stayed in February 2024. The hotel reception were very pleasant in November and guaranteed that late checkout was easy and it was a great rate of 550.000 . The reception staff said that they had added the late checkout to our booking. When we arrived in February everything was different. First the reception staff questioned that we had visited in November and that we did not have late checkout added to our booking. They insisted that we name the hotel staff who we had spoken with in November. After much discussion we had the late checkout added but staff were less than friendly. Then they insisted we pay the extra money straight away. We said no problem but then my wife’s wise card wouldn’t work in their payment machine and staff kept insisting that the wrong pin was being entered. My wife had been using the card for the last 7 days in Bali with no issues. So I then gave them my wise card and was surprised when it wouldn’t work in their machine either. I also had been using my card daily in Bali with no issues. After much further discussion with hotel reception they said that we could pay at check out. We had already pre paid for all 5 rooms prior to this. On the day of checkout I received a request to contact reception as they had no records of us asking for late checkout. During several WhatsApp messages from reception they said that we had refused to pay for the late checkout and that we had stated that we would get it free. I was absolutely disappointed to receive these messages and we had never stated anything about free late checkout. The reception staff continued sending messages that were completely false statements. In reflection I think that the staff were trying to cover up the poor service lack of professionalism that they lacked. This were only a few of the small issues that arose during our stay . Our daughter and family had a mouse running around their room and it took staff 3 days to come and look at the room. There was never any offer to change rooms. Another family group had their air conditioning not working and it took 3 days for the hotel to address that issue . My wife ordered drinks during happy hour at the garden pool and when the bill came they wanted to charge full price and their staff stated that my wife had ordered room service! She was locked out of our room at the time because the electronic key kept failing.
On 3 separate occasions I asked to speak with the hotel manager to see if we could get better communication and service. Unfortunately the manager was always unavailable, so can only assume that is where the problem starts . Too important or don’t care about hotel guests.
Most of the hotels staff were extremely friendly and welcoming especially the restaurant staff.
The Alam is a very old property in a very good location. The rooms have been renovated and beds are comfortable. After visiting Bali about 16 times and staying in many different hotels and villas this was our most disappointing stay in Bali. It’s a shame that the small issues kept coming and that the hotel were either trying to cover up or complacent about.
RRafa food lover travelerThis is not an hotel, this is village!
It’s gigantic! we get lost many times!!
Staff, service and amenities were amazing ( the departure room , huge pool, next to the beach, amazing breakfast) but the room was a disappointment.
It was damp, musty. The pillows and bedsheets smell. The room felt humid. i couldn’t sleep, i had an headache and i have tried everything. i ask them to change for new pillows and bedsheets, i hung them outside on the balcony to get a bit of sunlight, i switched off the AC and open the door to game some fresh air but none worked.
I guess this side of the hotel wings 6000 never gets sunlight.
My daughter has asthma, i informed the hotel beforehand about to avoid this kind of issue.
As for the beach, it was plastics everywhere but i guess this was not the hotel matters since it’s a private beach but still.
MMargaret SullivanBatu Karang was a simply amazing stay - they had it all, and frankly you could easily never leave the resort and feel more than taken care of. (The spa was particularly nice.) I will say the only downside was the rooms aren’t as sound proofed as we had hoped and you can easily hear people walking by. Just something to consider.
GGuest UserGreat breakfast selection and staff members are very friendly. You will never be disappointed with Four Seasons' landscape architecture.
Thank you for the free upgrade with our room selection. It's a good surprise 😁.
GGuest User1) Best thing about this hotel is the location. It is within walking distance to the main Kuta Beach walking area and close to many good restaurants and spa / massage places. You don't need to travel very far.
2) The hotel itself is very old and really in need of refurbishment. I stayed there 4 nights and I had to call them in twice. Once for a non-working fridge and the second time because the knob cover in my shower fell off. The pool in the hotel would have been really nice 20-30 years ago. It really needs updating and refurbishment. It was probably 5 stars 30 years ago. Now, maybe a 3 stars max... The room itself is quite a good size so it can easily fit a family.
3) The services of the staff were pretty decent. They were helpful and polite.
4) Breakfast was a decent buffet spread with some variation each day.
5) Cleanliness was normal.
SSharon domaVery convenient location in the busy Kuta area, lot of shops and restaurants either left or right side from the hotel. Also it links to a big shopping mall in Bali so easy to shop around in walking distance. Very friendly hotel staff, smile and greeting always. Hotel breakfast is ok to try, one thing must say is the room towel art are so amazing, give us a great memory especially for my 10 years old boy, he has to write an extra review for this from the triparvisor 😃
KKanterburryMy partner and I recently enjoyed a wonderful 4-day, 3-night stay at the Grand Hyatt Bali, and overall, it was an unforgettable experience. Here’s a breakdown of our highlights and some minor hiccups
(FYI re-organised it using Deepseek)
The Positives
✨ Spacious, Exquisite Room
Our room was impressively large and beautifully designed, blending modern luxury with Balinese charm. The comfort and attention to detail made it a perfect retreat after a day of exploring.
🌿 Pool Paradise
The resort’s pool area is a true highlight—lush, serene, and thoughtfully laid out. We loved lounging on the daybeds, dipping into the hot and cold plunge pools, and taking advantage of the direct poolside service (a lifesaver under the Bali sun!). The proximity to the beach was also a huge plus, offering the best of both worlds.
👏Exceptional Service
The staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. From warm greetings to swift responses to requests, their attentiveness truly elevated the experience.
Minor Drawbacks
⚠️ Toilet Drainage Smell
We occasionally noticed a slight odor from the bathroom drainage, which was a bit off-putting. It didn’t ruin our stay, but it’s something the hotel might want to address.
🚿 Inconsistent Shower Temperature
The water heat fluctuated a few times during showers, which was inconvenient, though manageable.
Final Thoughts
Despite these small issues, the Grand Hyatt Bali delivered a fantastic blend of relaxation and luxury. The stunning grounds, top-notch amenities, and outstanding service made it ideal for a couples’ getaway. We’d gladly return and recommend it to anyone seeking a beach-meets-resort escape in Bali!
