Baan Suan Boon Resort
4.7/56 Reviews
This place is highly recommended. I found it on Agoda. I was in Chaing Dao and thought I would rock up and check it out before booking on Agoda. I ended up booking direct with the property for 600 baht in January 2024 for a bungalow nestled next to a stream. It had aircon but I did not use it, as the weather was cold at night. Pros Lovely, well-manicured property on a hill. The open air restaurant has great views of the valley Peaceful and quiet, aside from the frogs. See below. The bungalow was awesome. It had a private veranda overlooking the stream with a view of the mountains. No one could see you on the veranda Cons Zero Wifi reception in my bungalow next to the the stream. However, they have several routers throughout the property and have good signal in other areas (e.g., restaurant) The hot water didn’t get that hot; on a cold morning, this is less than ideal Breakfast is pretty basic; self-serve toast, banana, rice porridge, coffee, tea. However, as I was leaving the restaurant, a lady spoke to me in Thai and gestured to me asking if I wanted anything. I said no. Shortly thereafter, the smell of cooking emanated from the little kitchen, so maybe she was offering me food? My bungalow was right on the stream. It was a frog party in that stream at night. If you’re a light sleeper this might disturb you. However, it’s better than roosters!
Chiang Dao Roundhouses
4.6/57 Reviews
Azalea Village

This was a lovely upscale little property--well-designed huts, garden, pool, open-air main hall and a good view of the main mountain. Very, very quiet. The young girls on the staff were eager to help, if not always able, and Nun, the bartender, made the most incredible cocktails I've ever had in my life. He serves half-a-dozen standard drinks (screwdriver, mojito, etc.) but the ingredients and mixing were really exquisite. My only complaints were with the location, which was close to the town rather than the mountain and entailed renting a bike (roads not biker friendly) or a songthaew (uncomfortable negotiations with drivers) to get out to the main attractions. Also, I wish there had been a masseuse on hand or on call. And the food really needs improvement! The breakfast was poor and the half-dozen dinner dishes only fair. A good chef and a masseuse would really elevate a place that already has a lot of potential.
The View Chiang Dao
4.6/550 Reviews
This hotel is hidden from view of the main road, once you turn in between the car workshop, you will see the hotel in the beginning of a rice field. The hotel include 4 storey of room and restaurant at the top for a beautiful view (but the lift only reach 4th floor) Swimming pool is on the ground floor but away from curious eyes of non guest, there are 2 function room and 3 nice cubicle for enjoying meal. Tips : There are 2 main view, 1 is facing rice field, the other facing the mountain. Choose your favourite but mainly sunset of mountain looks great.

Travel from Chiang Mai To travel to Ang Khan On the way, stop by Tham Luang Chiang Dao, the weather and people here are very charming. Visit the tree house on the way and going up to the top of Khao Luang, it is very beautiful. I want to have more time from 24 hours a day. Get off from Doi Luang and start hungry. Hungry is not shy to stop by A famous restaurant of Chiang Dao,Alaska Crab is very delicious. Start looking for accommodation Surf in Google, I found a resort named the same as Thong Shop. Take this one, convenient to travel. Aroma Resort Chiang Dao, when turning in and parked. Very nice receptionist. Beaming, the price is lovely, agreed, we got a room in the back zone. The younger staff took him to The room is the type I want. When I open the door, I'm right. Sleep well, the weather is so cool that you don't have to turn on the air conditioner to wake up. From the balcony in front of the room overlooking Doi Luang
Chiang Dao Hut

Passed by and stopped the hut kitchen opposite the road for lunch as the place looked nice and clean. We found the food to be so really good value for money that we thought it was worth a review. Recommend thin thai noodles with soy sauce for 65 baht, a bargain! The chiang dai nest 2 restaurant has even better thai food, though more expensive
