Mirador de Ulia

Wonderful restaurant setting and food courses. Very clever from the kitchen, although some more information about each course in writing on a menu would be really helpful. We had the top tasting menu with wines pairings. The sequencing and flow of each course either wines was slightly chaotic, suggesting the team may have been short staffed. Sommelier was very knowledgable and friendly.The ambience was somewhat spoilt as the dining space was not busy, but fully lit rather than being more softly lit. Although the sunset and then the view over San Sebastián was stunning, you are looking at a reflection of a half empty very white dining room in the glass windows! I’m sure with some thought this could be much improved

Superb food, skillfully presented and paced. Excellent staff for food advice and wine recommendations. Inviting and welcoming. Great setting. A great recommendation for others.

The food was excellent, it was tasty and creative. The service however was not that excellent. The food was coming way too fast, not even a minute between the dishes. We had selected menu Degustasion and several plates were served in a complete rush. The waiters were giggling right behind us. The explanation of the food was ok, but we couldn't understand it very well due to language barrier. However the service was not bad. My partner had her birthday and we asked for a candle with the dessert, instead we received a birthday plate with more sweets which was superb and better than a candle.

Superb opportunity to enjoy true gourmand food and the unbeatable views of the San Sebastian beaches and streets while being served by excellent professionals. A unique experience.

We had dinner at the restaurant for a special birthday celebration and our expectations were exceeded with the overall experience. The staff were extremely welcoming and solicitous, the ten course tasting menu (with special options for the vegetarian and vegan member of our party) was a gastronomic delight and the view from our table overlooking San Sebastian at sunset was spectacular. We left very happy and very full! Thank you so much to everyone at Mirador de Ulia who made this such a special occasion.
