If you’ve traveled to Tolosa you have already made an effort to get to this restaurant.Like us you may have seen it on an episode of remarkable food ( something like that), on to.Well I’ll make this quick. If you like steak, good wine and a rustic and authentic restaurant this is the place for you. The steak( veggies/vegans not welcome) is absolutely sublime. We reserved our table a year ago, and were rewarded with a seat right by the charcoal grill. So as well as the fantastic food we could see the grill man working and carving the steak. So food, theatre, and fabulous staff. A real treat for the senses. Some idiots say it’s expensive, we’ll add the whole lot up and I beg to disagree!

My partner and I went to Casa Julian last year and it was excellent so we did wonder if it would still be as good this year and I have to say if anything it was even better! I definitely would recommend it to any steak lovers. The 1.2 kg 'chuleta' was cooked to perfection and the vegetables got as much attention as the meat: chargrilled leeks dipped in chopped, sugared almonds and mushrooms tossed in an egg yolk (which might not sound great but they are amazing) just to mention a couple. Great service and atmosphere too.

Fabulous relaxed atmosphere. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Menu is limited but the food is absolutely delicious. Some would say it is expensive but you definitely get what you pay for.

Authentic restaurant serving steak like I've never tasted before.. fabulous. A 30 minute train ride out of San Sebastian but worth the trip.

A bucket list destination - travelled from Johannesburg to experience this amazing experience. Absolutely lived up to every expectation - 2010 Rioja unbelievable- but the local steak - spectacular -my expectations all exceeded !!!!
