Ili

The Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture is located in the northwestern part of Xinjiang, bordering Kazakhstan. The prefectural capital is Yining City. Yili is home to 13 ethnic groups, of which Uyghurs and Kazakhs make up the majority. In arid Xinjiang, Yili is a region with unique climate characteristics. Rainfall is relatively abundant and the weather is warm, so the agricultural products from here are very rich.
