Kata Beach is one of the best and the most visited beaches in Phuket island. It is located on the west coast of Phuket. The sea is turquoise blue here and the sand is white and from the beach you can see an iconic island standing in the middle of the ocean, making excellent sunset photos. Kata is less crowded than Patong Beach (which is the most popular beach in Phuket) and still offers a great choice of restaurants, shopping, nightlife, and hotels. It has a nice little street with vendors on the weekend selling beach clothing, Thailand spa and beauty products, t shirts as well as freshly made smoothies, pad Thai and grilled chicken or fish. There is a wave house /bar in the south end to practice surfing. Lots of small shops to buy Thailand massage balms and oils. On the beach itself has massage huts , parasailing, banana boat and jet ski rentals. I spent there 5 days, staying at the Sugar Palm Grand Hillside hotel and I didn’t want to leave that place. It was such an amazing holiday in Kata Beach. Great for swimming and you can actually swim the full length of the bay. It’s busy in places, but it’s really long and you can definitely find a quiet spot. They also rented kayaks and body boards. Lots of small Thai stalls where you can order delicious fruit smoothies and Thai snacks. Laying on the beach watching the amazing view was definitely a moment I will never forget. I spent a chill and relaxing trip in Phuket with beautiful sunsets everyday! I stayed in the Chanlai Romantica Hotel, this is a very nice and convenient hotel. It takes just 3 minutes walks to Kata beach! Kata beach is beautiful and sunsets are stunning! I went to different night market every night. The weekend Naka Market is the best one!
