Liangyuan was built by local poetry and book famous people Liang Airu, Liang Jiuzhang and Liang Jiutu uncle and nephew in Qing Jiaqing and Daoguang years (1796 － 1850 AD), which lasted more than 40 years. It is now a key national cultural relics unit, one of the four major gardens in Lingnan.
