Tang Yulin Mansion

Near Dam Gate No. 6 in Dandong City, Liaoning Province, there is a rectangular two-story brick and stone building. This is the "Tang Yulin Mansion", and the locals call it "Tang Erhu Tower". It is one of the few cultural relics protection units in Dandong City.

Tang Yulin Mansion covers an area of ​​1,530 square meters, with a construction area of ​​1,289 square meters. It is a concave two-story brick-and-wood structure, divided into front and back buildings. The front building is made of red bricks, and the back building is made of green bricks. The foundation is paved with granite, and the red bricks are built to the top. There is an observation deck on the top, which can not only overlook the city and the surrounding scenery, but also be used for command in case of war. There are brick walls and antique doors and windows. There is a wooden front porch and a back workshop. The front porch is painted with colorful landscape paintings and detailed carvings. Two courtyards are formed between the two buildings, and two gates appear. There are two cement guardhouses for soldiers to stand guard at the front gate, and two wooden guardhouses at the back gate. There are two water prisons on the right side of the front building that lead directly to the Yalu River.

There are 8 windows decorated with antique patterns on both sides of the second floor, and 8 wooden carved windows on both sides of the first floor. There is an oval side door facing the river, and 8 wooden windows are arranged to the west. On the riverside of the mansion is a recessed courtyard, with outdoor guardrails and stairs on both sides symmetrically connected, and doors on the four sides of the mansion.
