Hua E Building

Calyx Tower is located in Lianfeng Village, Dadong Town, Dapu County, 45 kilometers away from the county seat. The Calyx Building covers an area of 2,300 square meters and a building area of 2,286 square meters. It is a circular building with a civil structure. There are three rings, the inner ring has 30 rooms on the first floor, the second ring has 60 rooms on the second floor, and the outer ring has 120 rooms on the third floor, with a total of 210 rooms. The building is 11.9 meters high, the walls of the building are made of rammed earth, and the ground floor is 2 meters wide. The roof is made of wooden beams and gray tiles. There are no windows on the first floor of the building, and the walls on the second and third floors are equipped with small inside and outside large triangular gun holes. There is only one gate for entry and exit in the whole building. The gate frame is made of thick and wide granite slabs. These doors and windows are specially designed to resist the intrusion of outsiders. There is a circular patio with an area of 283.4 square meters in the building, which is paved with pebbles of different sizes. The center is decorated with an ancient coin pattern with a diameter of 3 meters, which means people's wish to pray for food and clothing. There is an ancient well on the side of the patio, which is used for fire prevention and living purposes. There are also common living facilities in the building such as hulls and shovels. The entire tulou has a reasonable layout, ventilation and lighting, warm in winter and cool in summer. Now there are more than ten families named Lin living in the building.
