Anonymous userOverall, it was a good place. The ancient architectural complex was very well-preserved, and the history of southern Anhui can be seen here. Moon Pond and South Lake were exceptionally tranquil and beautiful at night, contrasting beautifully with the bustling crowds. Commercialization was acceptable, but it seems the scenic area should be regulated. I stayed one night and experienced the fish and dragon parade; it was a nice place.

189***16Located in the heart of the village, the third-floor platform offers panoramic views of Xidi. At sunset, the view of the entire village is truly spectacular. The lobby is elegantly laid out, and the rooms are spacious, bright, clean, and tidy. The owner is warm, attentive, and humorous, making for a very pleasant experience.

nt1979Luckily, I checked the travel guide a day in advance and decided to take a taxi to the West Gate to enter. This way, you only need to climb a bit at the beginning, and then it's all downhill. Perhaps because it's autumn, it wasn't as green as I had imagined. The food in Mukeng Village was quite good; everything was grown and raised by the locals, and it tasted like something from my childhood.

Anonymous userLu Village isn't very big, but you can see a panoramic view of the village from the viewing platform. The scenery is beautiful. I visited the village's most famous attraction: Cunzhitang Wood Carving Building, which is truly exquisitely carved.

M41***09Everyone in my family had been there except me. I bought a combined ticket for Hongcun and Tachuan, and went to Hongcun first. We finished exploring Hongcun around 4:30 PM, and what should have been a ten-minute drive to Tachuan took two hours. By the time we arrived, it was already dark, so we had to go to the hotel and come over early the next morning. My family said that just looking at it from a high point was enough, and I thought it wouldn't be much to see, just like the rice paddies and a few trees near the entrance of Hongcun. But after going, I found it to be very beautiful. If you're going to Hongcun, you can stop by. Every shot I took looked like a professional photograph, and the portraits were also beautiful. I took many satisfying photos.

Anonymous userWe had a delicious meal at a local farmhouse restaurant, which was the most satisfying part of our trip. We saw dogs, cats, cows, and geese. We saw houses and enjoyed the scenery.
