Because I couldn't book ferry tickets to Gulangyu Island online for the next day, I chose this travel agency. The service was quite good. They contacted me via WeChat to tell me the meeting time and place. After arriving, it took about 40 to 50 minutes by car, and then we waited for about an hour at the pier before finally arriving on Gulangyu Island. Gulangyu Island is quite beautiful and worth seeing. We were also lucky enough to catch the organ performance every Friday afternoon at 4:30!

Despite encountering multiple crosswinds while crossing the 16.23-kilometer-long Taiwan Strait Bridge, we still made it to this scenic spot, the closest point on mainland China to Taiwan. We walked the first half, taking photos along the way, and took the shuttle bus back the second half.

Scenic area that is walkable from end to end. Can complete in half a day. If travelling with elderly people that cannot walk much, it is possible to engage a certified guide at the entrance for 100 yuan for a group. The guide can provide transport depending on what they have (scooter/ car) to bring you from attraction to attraction. We visited the main attractions in less than 2 hours with a car. At the end of the tour, the guide suggest for you to drink tea at their "home" as a way to bring you to a tea shop.

I saw two different types of Tulou (earthen buildings) in Fujian. They were slightly different. This one, besides still boasting beautiful scenery, felt richer in cultural significance and more worthy of careful appreciation.

The scenery is very nice. Holidays are crowded, and the restaurant was packed. The speed of replenishing dishes was OK. The fish was not fresh and a bit smelly. The other ingredients were OK and tasted OK. I hope to pay attention to the quality of seafood in the future.

As a national 5A scenic area and a dual World Heritage site, it avoids the hustle and bustle of popular tourist spots, yet at an altitude of 498 meters, it holds a profound and ethereal beauty that transcends millennia. Stepping through the mountain gate, a winding cobblestone path ascends, flanked by lush forests and babbling brooks—the idyllic scene of "a clear spring flowing over rocks" immediately comes into view. Halfway up, the Song Dynasty Laozi Rock Carving suddenly appears before you. Sculpted from a single block of granite, Laozi's benevolent face, flowing ears, and long beard remain serene despite a thousand years of weathering, truly deserving of the title "Laozi, the First Under Heaven." Touching the stone carvings, it's as if you can converse with the ancient craftsmen and feel the profound depth of Taoist culture. We went quite late, after 6 pm, but the guide was still very patient, meticulous, and hardworking. We felt a strong sense of history. It wasn't crowded at night, a unique experience.

I bought about three restaurants, and when I got back to the hotel, I didn't miss any of them! I ate them all!!! Meizhou Island in Putian is a sacred site for Mazu, and everything there is dedicated to her. I was fortunate enough to catch a Mazu event, which was very lively and truly awe-inspiring. Being from Northeast China, I feel that for this kind of traditional culture and faith, one must look to the South, and specifically to Fujian culture. It's like a city, surrounded by beaches with residential areas in the center. The two of us rented electric scooters and rode around for half a day, enjoying the scenery. It was truly beautiful, and the pace of life here is very slow. It's a perfect place for a vacation and sightseeing.
