Guifeng Scenic Area

Nanyan Sleeping Buddha
Yiyang Reclining Buddha is located in Longmenyan, Yiyang County, Shangrao City. The reclining Buddha is 416 meters long and 68 meters tall. It is carved from the mountain. The natural mountain shows the artistic charm of the stunning group of Sakyamuni Nirvana pictures. It is said that the cave at the bottom of the mountain was carved by the god Yu, and it was named Longmenyan because the stone bones are coiled like a giant dragon. Ge's fairy village is located in Yanshan County, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province. It was invested and constructed by Xinbang Group in June 2016, with a total investment exceeding 1.569 billion yuan. Backed by the thousand-year-old Taoist mountain Ge's Fairy Mountain, it aims to become "a new landmark of Jiangxi tourism." Nanyan Temple Sceneic Area
Buddha Mountain (Nanyan Temple), also known as Nanyan Buddha Cave or Nanyan Buddha Cave, is located in the Guifeng Second Attraction Area (Nanyan Attraction) of Yiyang National Key Scenic Area. It is surrounded by red rocks on three sides. The temple is built on the rocks, with roofs instead of tiles and fences instead of eaves. The cave under the rock is 70 meters wide, 30 meters high and 30 meters deep, and can accommodate more than a thousand people. Nanyan Temple dates back to the Jin Dynasty. During the Tang Dynasty Taihe Period (827-835), the monk Shen Yao rebuilt it and began to carve stone niches on the stone wall. During the Song Dynasty Jiading Period (1208-1224), the county resident Wang Yuanchang built the palace gate, halls, bell towers, bridges and pavilions, and continued to carve stone into various Buddha statues. Guifeng in Yiyang is a typical Danxia landform scenic area, featuring small, elephant-shaped hills... a relatively less-visited 5A-level scenic spot, offering a unique experience! The combination of electric cart, hiking, and boat rides makes it less tiring for tourists. I made a special trip to see it on my way from Shangrao to Nanchang... well, it was worth it! Check out the photos! I highly recommend it; go see it if you have the chance!

I like places with beautiful scenery and few people. It is very suitable for traveling with parents. It is also comfortable during holidays. I recommend it. It is a little far from the city, but it is worth it. My parents are very satisfied with the experience. Good review

Our tickets were bought online through Trip.com and thus made convenient for us. We left our hotel in Shangrao City at 1530hrs and at almost 1700hrs, we arrived at Ge's Fairy Village.When the place lit up after the sun went down, the village gradually transformed into a magical realm, thus why it's called a fairy village. With most visitors decorating themselves in the traditional outfits, your mind was let to wander what it was like in the past could have been: tranquil despite the crowd, beautiful, vibrant and perhaps that explained why ever since the ancient time, visitors over the world that came for trade or visit to China - could have been mesmerized by her beauty.Our visit ended with a grand finale of fireworks and fiesta & dance. It was indeed a memory to treasure!!A highly recommended place for a visit if you ever come to Shangrao."🥰🥰🥰🥰

Start around 4 pm and stayed in the small town about 5 mins drive away from entrance. Wander around and wait till around 6.30pm where the lights start to lit up. Unreal! The night view is absolutely the main event - daytime is just the warm up.

What a magnificent and awe-inspiring mountain range of strangely shaped rocks! Climbing to the top and looking out into the distance is exhilarating. The "Chinese Dragon's Backbone" looks incredibly majestic. If time permits, you could stay overnight on the mountain; the location for watching the sunrise is excellent.

Although the reclining Buddha is a modern masterpiece, the scenic area is still worth a visit. Personally, I feel that Nanyan Temple is not very interesting.

Dieshan Academy is located in Hengfeng, Jiangxi. It was the place where Xie Fangde gave lectures during the Xianchun period of the Song Dynasty. It is located in Yiyang, Tingxi. In the second year of the Huangqing reign of the Yuan Dynasty (1313), Yu Shunchen founded the academy. It has been abandoned for a long time. In the eleventh year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty, the county magistrate Chen Yuanlin founded the academy on the site of the former Huanghua Temple next to the Donggao Temple, and named it Gexi. In the twenty-ninth year of the Daoguang reign (1849), the county magistrate Chen Qiaocong and the teacher Peng Dinglan converted the Wanshou Palace into an academy, which took three years to complete and was renamed "Dieshan".

Traveling to Jiangxi, I came to the Gexian Mountain Scenic Area in Shangrao. Gexian Mountain is located in Qianshan County, at the northern foot of Wuyi Mountain, and belongs to the branch of Wuyi Mountain. Gexian Mountain belongs to the Yanshan period granite landform, with the main peak at an altitude of 1,096 meters. It has a strong Taoist culture and is a famous Taoist mountain. There are Da Gexian Temple, Niangniang Temple, Ciji Temple, etc. in the scenic area. In the evening, there is a musical fountain stage play in the scenic area, which tells a story of Taoist culture.

If I had to climb one mountain in my lifetime, it would have to be Huangshan. The entire hike up and down took eight hours. Although the weather was uncooperative, with fog covering the entire day, I still felt the unique beauty of Huangshan. It was tiring but joyful, and I look forward to seeing it again.
