Khan Mountain is located at the foot of Guanyin Mountain in Huolinguole City. It is a mountain sculpture scenic area themed around Mongol-Yuan culture, and the entire mountain is planned as a scroll of grassland history that you can read as you walk. From bottom to top, the scenic area consists of the mountain gate, The Road of the Blue Wolf, the Mongol-Yuan army formation, and the Mongol-Yuan emperor sculpture group. Not far from the entrance, statues of the Blue Wolf and the White Deer greet visitors first, which, according to legend, are the ancestors of the Mongol people; statues of historical figures from the Golden Family line both sides of The Road of the Blue Wolf, leading all the way to the foot of the mountain. Hundreds of warrior statues are arrayed at the foot of the mountain with an imposing presence reminiscent of the Terracotta Warriors, making it an iconic scene of the entire scenic area. Walking slowly up the plank road, the view gradually opens up, and more than 10 statues of Mongol-Yuan emperors are scattered along the mountainside. Upon reaching the summit, giant statues of Genghis Khan and Kublai Khan stand side by side, reaching tens of meters in height. They can be seen from afar and are even more awe-inspiring when viewed from below. From the summit, you can overlook the rolling green waves of the surrounding grassland, and taking photos with the sculpture group in the frame makes for excellent pictures. On the grassland around the scenic area, there are often experience activities such as horseback riding, archery, and taking photos in Mongolian robes, which interested visitors can try while they are there.Holingol · 9.9 km from downtown

Ulagai Grassland is named after the Ulagai River and is a well-preserved natural grassland deep within the Xilin Gol Grassland. Known for its vast, sparsely populated landscape and expansive skies, it is often called the "Grassland on the Horizon." The area features diverse natural landscapes, including primitive grasslands, lakes, wetlands, birch forests, Peony Valley, and Huanghuagou. It also preserves historical sites such as Bulin Temple, Genghis Khan's Border Wall, and the Gulabusaihan Aobao, while the nomadic customs of the Ujumqin tribe have been passed down here for generations. The winding Ulagai River spreads across the grassland like a hada. The river's repeated twists and turns around the Jiuquwan area outline the classic image of hilly grasslands, making it a favorite spot for photography enthusiasts. The movie "Wolf Totem" was filmed on location in this grassland. In the Wild Wolf Valley, you can observe prairie wolves up close and feel the wilderness atmosphere of human-wolf coexistence from the original novel. Around Bulin Spring, springs and temples coexist, and the nearby preserved site of the "educated youth" settlement carries memories of the production and construction corps era. Legend has it that when Genghis Khan unified the Mongol tribes, he decisively defeated the Tatar tribe at the confluence of the Ulagai and Seyeleji rivers, leaving behind legends of ancient battlefields in this grassland. Exploring this grassland is best done by self-drive, as the attractions are far apart. A common route is to follow the loop connecting Jiuquwan, Wild Wolf Valley, Bulin Spring, and Peony Valley. In summer, the grass is lush and the climate is cool. In early summer, you can even catch the wild peonies in full bloom. Activities like horseback riding and riding in lele carts are perfect for slowing down and experiencing the grassland at a leisurely pace. The temperature difference between day and night on the grassland is significant, and the sunlight is intense, so be sure to prepare sun protection and warm clothing in advance.East Ujimqin Banner · >100 km from downtown

I went there with my family by car in early August and stayed in Holingol. The scenic area has complete facilities, and the staff are very professional and friendly. The area is very clean, with no litter in the corners, and the restrooms are quite clean. The grassland scenery is best viewed from afar. In my memory, crossing one mountain leads to a sea, or another mountain. On the other side of this mountain is grassland, and the mountain itself is also grassland... What I felt here was more of a sense of vicissitude and vastness. It's a place where you can find a moment of peace and tranquility, and it's worth coming to experience the blue sky and green grass, the coolness and fragrance!

It's worth visiting. It's a national border area with rare scenery. The wind was incredibly strong, at level 6. I bought a hat and gloves at the train station entrance, and the wind was so strong I almost fell over. My nose was running.

The autumn colors are absolutely beautiful and pristine. Strolling around slowly with the autumn breeze in the air is incredibly pleasant. The only downside is that some roads are under construction, preventing you from circling the lake and forcing you to backtrack. However, given the stunning scenery, it's still highly recommended.

Khan Mountain is 11 kilometers away from the city of Holingol. It was built in 2011, covers an area of more than 13,000 square meters, and the sculpture height is 50 meters. It is the largest sculpture group of figures in my country, with an investment of 55 million yuan. The head of Genghis Khan on the top of the mountain is 50 meters high, and the head of Kublai Khan is 30 meters high. The 800 sculptures of the Mongolian soldiers are lifelike and majestic, very spectacular and shocking. The three characters "Khan Mountain" on the mountain gate were written by Buhe, the former vice chairman of the National People's Congress. Looking up at the tall image on the top of the mountain, I think of Chairman Mao's poem: Genghis Khan, a great hero, just bends his bow and shoots an eagle.

I hadn't done any research beforehand; I just figured I'd give it a try since I was already there. I was pleasantly surprised! The performance was grand, spectacular, and breathtaking. I saw the most magnificent herd of horses and the coolest equestrian skills, and experienced the customs and traditions of the Mongolian people. There was even a close-up interaction with the horses and performers at the end. I was extremely satisfied, and even regretted not buying the most expensive tickets for the front row, the most central area.

I visited during the off-season, so there were very few people, allowing for a thorough visit. The park is primarily dinosaur-themed, featuring fossils, sculptures, and explanations of the excavation process, making it more suitable for families with children. Electric shuttle buses connect the various exhibits, which is very convenient for those who don't want to walk.

Natural ecology, unique wild charm. Grasslands, animals, plants and culture are organically combined, making it suitable for sightseeing, educational trips and leisure. For 30 yuan, the scenic shuttle bus will take you to four scenic spots, where you can enjoy activities such as grass rafting, horseback riding, archery, or feeding wolves... It's easy and enjoyable.

This grassland is the best I've ever been to, with a pristine atmosphere! Also, the accommodation is cheap (early June), and the food is varied and reasonably priced. In short, it's a must-go!

The scenery here is truly stunning. The endless grasslands are matched by the blue sky, and the grasslands are full of sheep and cattle. Having a bonfire party at night, eating roasted whole lamb, and drinking kumis is such a treat, all the worries and unhappiness are gone with the wind! The food and accommodation here are also very affordable!
