We spent two days exploring the area in depth, avoiding the National Day peak season, and the experience was still quite good. However, some service details within the scenic area were lacking; for example, bus number 8 was suspended without prior notice, but thankfully we contacted the hotel and resolved the issue.

Those 1000+ wooden steps are not easy to climb. But you only truly appreciate the view of the Omega sculpture from the east and west viewing platforms. The first stop of the scenic area bus is at the northernmost point, including the Ussuri River Shoal, where the scenery is decent.

Beihong Village is located northeast of Mohe City, on the southern bank of the upper Heilongjiang River at the Sino-Russian border. Ussuri Shoal is the true northernmost point of China in a geographical sense, facing Russia across the Heilongjiang River. The border river and the forest scenery are tranquil and expansive, and the stone monument at the entrance is a memorable landmark. However, there is no public transportation, so you need to hire a car to get there. The shuttle bus stops at the scenic area for a short time, and the tour content is limited, so making it not very cost-effective to make a special trip there.

The birch forest you see is different from what I see! The scenery we saw was very beautiful. The main scenery was not the birch forest, but the big bend of the river after passing through the birch forest. After looking at the pictures, the location is from Beihong Village, turn to the mainland of Beiji Village, and walk more than ten kilometers. There is a parking lot on the left side of the road. No one collects money. The small road walks into the birch forest on the side of the road. About 500 meters, down a small slope, there is an observation deck, overlooking the scenery. The scenery here is excellent. It is possible that the chartered driver knows this place clearly.

The original dance hall was destroyed in the May 6 fire in 1987, and later became famous for the song "Mohe Dance Hall" by singer Liu Shuang. In December 2019, Liu Shuang heard a retro song coming from a dance hall (not this one) in Mohe, and an old man named Zhang Dequan was dancing alone. After asking, he learned that he met his wife Kang in the Mohe Dance Hall and got married in 1983, but Kang died in the fire in 1987. Zhang Dequan did not remarry and had no children. He often went to the dance hall near the scene to dance and commemorate his deceased wife. The current dance hall was rebuilt after the song became popular. It is no longer the original site. The ticket price is 20 yuan, and the song "Mohe Dance Hall" is often heard in the dance hall.

After returning from the Arctic Village, most people will stay in Mohe for a day. The North Star Square is also a must-see place. You need to climb many steps to reach it. It is very beautiful to take pictures from above.

It was built as Songyuan Park in 1999. The park is 282 meters long from east to west and 182 meters wide from north to south, covering an area of ​​51,324 square meters. The total forest volume in the park is 400 cubic meters. The main tree species are larch and larch, of which larch is the largest, accounting for 95%. Because this forest is located on the gentle slope of the valley, it grows together with the Xing'an azalea, so it is also called azalea-larch forest. Xing'an azalea, commonly known as Dazixiang, is also called Manshanhong and Yingshanhong. The park has two gates in the east and west. The west gate is the main gate, with the inscription "Songyuan" by Chen Lei, the former governor of Heilongjiang Province, and painted murals on both sides. The whole park is shaded by trees and flowers are everywhere. There are forest trails and stone tables and wooden chairs in the park. It is one of the very few primitive forest parks in the city in the country.
