Many people probably decided to go to Qinghai and Gansu after seeing pictures of Chaka Salt Lake. When we arrived, locals said it's now run by a Zhejiang businessman—their marketing is certainly effective. The scenic area is quite large, but the round-trip ticket for the mini-train at 100 yuan is a bit pricey. Most tourists ride the train one way to the end and then slowly walk back while taking photos. The section requiring you to wade into the water to photograph the reflections is about three stops, and walking back and forth to the bus stop for those stops isn't convenient.
Finally, back to the first stop, the snow sculptures, which are illuminated at night.
The forecast was for rain that day, but thankfully it turned cloudy to partly cloudy in the afternoon, and there was even some sunshine in the evening, allowing me to take some reflection photos—I was quite lucky.
