Highlights

Visit Kumbum Monastery, one of the six major monasteries of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism, and explore the birthplace of Master Tsongkhapa.
The three artistic wonders of Tibetan culture—butter sculptures, murals, and appliqué embroidery—are showcased at the Qinghai Tibetan Culture Museum, where you can admire a 618-meter-long Tibetan cultural Thangka scroll.
Learn about Tibetan medicine, traditional medical tools, medicinal plant specimens, clothing, architecture, and plateau culture in one day.
