Whether it is their clothing, language, or living customs, they all contain a strong national cultural atmosphere. The "Eight Sounds Sitting Singing" which enjoys the reputation of "living fossil of sound" and "sound of nature" is the folk rap art passed down from generation to generation by the Buyi people. It has a history of more than a thousand years and has been rated as a "national intangible cultural heritage."Xingyi · 11.3 km from downtown

Maling River is located in Xingyi City, a strategic point for Yunnan, Guangxi and Guizhou. It is 334 kilometers northeast of Guiyang and 321 kilometers west of Kunming. It originates from Baiguoling in the Wumeng Mountains. The upper reaches are called Qingshui River, and the middle reaches are called Maling River because of Mabie Dazhai and Malingzhai on both sides. Maling River has a slightly sad title - "the beautiful scar on the earth", which vividly describes the magnificence and steepness of Maling River. Maling River is more than 70 kilometers long, cutting a narrow and deep ground canyon in the plain. This structure is extremely rare in the world and is known as "the first seam in the world". The majestic and beautiful Maliang River Canyon National Scenic Spot is known as the "River of Thousands of Waterfalls" and "The Crack in the Sky and Earth". In 1993, the Maliang River "Five Rings Rafting Company" was established, pioneering rafting in the southwest. In April 1998, the International Canoe Rafting Competition was successfully held, and it became the Guizhou Province Canoeing Training Base and the National Olympic Whitewater Sports Base.Xingyi · 7.6 km from downtown

Huajiang Canyon Bridge Tourism-Integrated Service Area

The Huajiang Canyon Bridge stands 625 m vertically above the river surface, serving as a benchmark cultural tourism landmark where Guizhou's super project deeply integrates with karst natural wonders. Leveraging the high bridge resources, the service area has created a mountain tourism destination combining high-altitude immersive sightseeing, bridge engineering education, and karst geological exploration. From a 625-meter cloud perspective, it unlocks the dual awe of China's bridge construction marvels and the canyon's hidden wonders. 1. Cloud ladder·fully transparent sightseeing elevator in bridge tower: Located in the south bridge tower (Zhenfeng side), it is a rare fully transparent sightseeing elevator built inside a high bridge tower in China. The elevator climbs steadily at a speed of 4 m per second, taking only 24 seconds to reach the second floor of the bridge tower approx. 625 m above the river. The fully transparent glass cabin provides an unobstructed vertical view. During the ascent, the lush vegetation at the valley bottom, the winding river in the canyon, the steel trusses of the bridge deck, and the towering structure at the tower top unfold layer by layer before your eyes. With a 100-meter abyss beneath your feet, the entire journey immerses you in the visual impact of soaring through the air. It is not only a popular "cloud ladder" check-in spot in the service area but also a step-by-step high-altitude experience. 2. Sky spine·box girder built-in sightseeing hall: A high-altitude view corridor built within the main box girder of the bridge, standing 625 m above the river surface, creating a unique sightseeing space inside the bridge. Walking through the "steel spine" of the bridge, one side features the intricate and robust steel truss structure, allowing close observation of suspension bridge components and appreciation of large-scale engineering wisdom. The other side offers panoramic windows to overlook the majestic Huajiang Grand Canyon, with rolling karst peaks and the river winding like an emerald ribbon through the mountains. The corridor also features bridge science exhibition points, providing an easy-to-understand guide on the construction process and technological breakthroughs of Guizhou's high bridges, combining sightseeing with educational insights. 3. Cloud walk·high-altitude glass hall: Located in the middle section of the box girder corridor, 625 m above the river surface, it is constructed with high-strength special laminated glass. Standing on the transparent glass floor, you can directly overlook the vast canyon abyss, with the Beipanjiang River valley and karst peak forest in full view. When clouds drift in, it feels like floating in a sea of clouds. The hall features a check-in observation deck, cultural and creative exhibition area, and high bridge post office, combining sightseeing, photography, and leisure experiences. It is the most iconic viral photo spot in the entire attraction. 4. Super project·Bridge wonder: The Huajiang Canyon Bridge itself is the core attraction of the service area, and it is also a prominent steel-truss suspension bridge with a remarkable span in China's mountainous regions. The two main towers stand on both sides of the canyon, with a km main span soaring across the sky. The two main cables bear a tensile force of tens of thousands of tons, showcasing the grandeur of a major national project. Whether viewed from afar or up close, one can feel the awe-inspiring transformation of "a natural chasm into a thoroughfare." It is a highly representative landmark in Guizhou's "Bridge Museum" and a recommended destination for engineering and photography enthusiasts.Zhenfeng · 35.3 km from downtown

Wanfeng Lake Cruise

Wanfeng Lake Cruise

4.1/5
14 reviews
The Wanfeng Lake Cruise is a "waterborne karst feast" nestled at the junction of Guizhou, Yunnan, and Guangxi provinces. Spanning over 200 square km of pristine waters—China's largest artificial lake in the southwest—it combines breathtaking lake-and-mountain scenery with the unique appeal of "visiting three provinces in a 1-day tour," making it an essential experience for unlocking the secrets of Yunnan, Guizhou, and Guangxi. With water clarity exceeding 2 meters and a surface area equivalent to 2 Erhai Lakes or 17 Hongfeng Lakes, this alpine lake offers poetic moments of "gliding through painted landscapes" while revealing traces of geological evolution spanning hundreds of millions of years. From family outings to photography enthusiasts, every visitor leaves with unforgettable mountain-and-water memories. The cruise route design connects the most spectacular views of Wanfeng Lake's core area, with different paths and durations to suit diverse requests. The classic route departs from the tourist pier, passing iconic attractions like Hongchun Waterborne Stone Forest, Little Three Gorges, and Gilong Castle in sequence. The 90–100 min journey unfolds like flipping through a 3D karst landscape album: Hongchun Waterborne Stone Forest features scattered conical peaks and jagged rock walls carved by ancient seawater, where travelers often spot fish darting through crystal-clear waters; Little Three Gorges presents sheer cliffs as if split by blades, with mountain breezes carrying earthy fragrances while the sounds of water and birdsong fill the air; Gilong Castle's European Gothic architecture contrasts poetically with emerald hills at the lake's center, creating a photogenic hotspot where many visitors request slower speeds to capture this "castle-meets-landscape" romance. Some routes also dock at Hongchun Pier, allowing travelers brief shore excursions to experience lakeside village life, blending "waterborne sightseeing + land exploration" into one seamless adventure. The diverse selection of boat types and onboard services enhances the quality of your cruise experience. The attraction offers various vessels including luxury cruises and painted pleasure boats, featuring spacious and comfortable interiors. Some boats even have observation decks for visitors to pause and take photos at any time. The distinction between speedboats and slow boats caters to different pacing preferences—speedboats prioritize efficient sightseeing for time-conscious travelers, while slow boats are ideal for leisurely relaxation, allowing guests to quietly admire the shimmering sunlight dancing on the lake's surface. Onboard staff provide insightful guides about the geological origins and folklore of scenic spots along the route, such as the formation of Hongchun Stone Forest or the history behind Jilong Castle, making the cultural significance behind these landscapes more accessible. During festive seasons, visitors can enjoy special activities like the "Explore Wanfeng Lake" event, featuring aquatic performances and even cross-province cultural experiences, adding a touch of humanistic warmth to the natural journey. Beyond the core sightseeing experience, the cruise can be combined with diverse activities to create a complete vacation setting. Thrill-seeking travelers can enjoy water sports like jet skiing, sailing boats, and kayaking for an adrenaline rush. Families with kids will love pairing the cruise with a visit to the Xingyi UNESCO Global Geopark Museum—discover the ancient history of these waters through Guizhou dinosaur fossils before boarding, then compare geological knowledge with real-life scenery during the cruise for immersive "scientific exploration + sightseeing." Photography enthusiasts especially favor evening departure time slots when the soft light creates perfect conditions—capture symmetrical reflections of Gilong Castle from the stern or use a drone to photograph the emerald wake trails for stunning shots. After the cruise, whether you check in at Gilong Castle Resort or savor fresh lake delicacies at nearby farmhouse restaurants, the joy of nature seamlessly blends into everyday life. From the morning mist to the shifting light of dusk, the charm of the Wanfeng Lake Cruise transforms with time. Boarding in the early morning reveals mountains faintly visible through the mist, like an ink-wash painting. At noon, sunlight reflects directly on the water, creating crystal-clear mirrored images of the peaks. As you return in the evening, the lakeshore lights gradually illuminate, blending with the sunset glow for a truly immersive atmosphere. Convenient transportation enhances the experience—direct shuttle services are available from Xingyi city or the Wanfeng Forest attraction, and some travel packages even include round-trip transfers and priority boarding to skip the queues. From the grandeur of karst peaks to the elegance of alpine lakes, from the romance of European-style castles to the depth of geological wonders, the Wanfeng Lake Cruise has long transcended being just a sightseeing activity. It's a floating geology classroom, a healing journey through nature, and a cultural bridge connecting Yunnan, Guizhou, and Guangxi. Every voyage tells the ancient and vibrant stories of this land through its emerald waves and mountain ranges.Xingyi · 20.8 km from downtown

There were so many people, and the weather wasn't great either, with a sudden downpour. The service was definitely not up to par, but the scenery was still nice, and the cool climate in summer is also appealing.

This is the most fun place in Xingyi, suitable for all ages. The kids played with tie-dye. Families rode tricycles around the rice paddies, carefree and relaxed. The fragrance of rice blossoms brought to life the promise of a bountiful harvest.

We arrived at Huajiang Bridge in the afternoon. Although it was during the holiday, there was no congestion in either direction, and traffic flowed smoothly. There were queues to enter and exit parking lots 1 and 2. There's a bridge viewing platform at Yundu, and the Guanlan Restaurant offers excellent views. There's a water curtain light show at 8:30 PM and a drone show at 8:45 PM. The karst waterfall on the bridge is creative; the high bridge and cascading waterfall, illuminated day and night, create a beautiful scene.

During summer vacation, I went there with my friends and their kids. We arrived early, so we found a terrace for dinner with a view of the water. There was a performance on the water in the evening. The natural scenery of mountains and water combined with the man-made architecture created a great atmosphere 👍 The only downside was that eating outdoors meant that mosquitoes were unavoidable at night, especially in a place like Guizhou with a relatively good ecological environment.

Transportation is inconvenient; you can only get back by car. The scenery along the way is nice, and you can take a boat with the elderly, but to be honest, the view of the lake from the road you drive in is more beautiful and spectacular than the view from the lake itself.

The scenery is truly stunning, and the crowds are incredibly rare. We arrived at 11:00 AM and left at 2:30 PM, and encountered fewer than three dozen tourists. There's virtually no service in the scenic area, and the fruit at the stalls is all modeled. The cable car has been closed for who knows how many centuries. The ticket price is 60 yuan, and the boat ride is 80 yuan. The value for money is truly poor. If you're looking for a less crowded and beautiful place, this is a good place. If you're looking for service and value, consider looking elsewhere.

Sisters! There's a hidden gem in Xingyi, Guizhou – **Wanfeng Lake "Little Gorge"**! 🚤 Promise me you'll come take a boat trip!!! Sailing on the shimmering water, with layers upon layers of karst peaks on both banks, it truly feels like walking through a giant ink painting! 🌫️ The short one-hour boat trip is simply too much for the eyes to take in! The lake water is crystal clear, the mountain peaks are reflected like a painting, and the gentle breeze is so soothing! 💚 At that moment, I instantly understood the exhilaration and poetic beauty of Li Bai's line, "**A light boat has already passed ten thousand mountains**"! ⛰️➡️➡️➡️ It's as if all worries are left behind, leaving only the vastness of the sky and earth, and a feeling of openness and liberation! ✨ **Useful Tips:** 1. **📍Location:** Wanfeng Lake Scenic Area, Xingyi City, Qianxinan Prefecture, Guizhou Province (Frequently navigate to "Wanfeng Lake Hongchun Wharf" or "Wanfeng Lake Cruise Wharf") 2. **⏰Time:** The cruise lasts about 1 hour. It's recommended to go in the afternoon for better lighting and sunset views (check boat schedules). 3. **🎫Cost:** The main cost is the boat ticket (ranging from tens to a little over a hundred yuan, depending on the boat type and route). Remember to ask beforehand. 4. **📸Photography:** Wear light-colored/traditional Chinese style clothing for better photos! Sit at the bow or by the window for stunning mountain and water shots! A wide-angle lens is even better! 5. **💡Tips:** Be sure to wear sunscreen! Bring a bottle of water. Check the weather forecast beforehand; sunny days are the best! **Absolutely amazing!** A top-notch mountain and water spa + mind-body massage for just a few dozen yuan! Less crowded, beautiful scenery, and excellent value! Hurry before it gets too popular! 💨 #GuizhouTourism #XingyiTourism #WanfengLake #Xiaoshanxia #OffTheBeatenPathDestination #BoatTrip #KarstLandscape #LightBoatHasPassedThousandsOfMountains #TravelHealingMoments #WeekendGetaway

There are endless peaks and forests in the area, rivers running through it, and clouds and mist lingering. The scenery changes as the day goes by. It overlooks the rippling waters of the Nanpan River in the upper reaches of the Pearl River. It is a tourist attraction jointly created by the Banbianjie Village Committee of Xingyi City and the People's Government of Zerong Township of Xingyi City.

Twenty-four Turns is the core part of the Twenty-four Roads and the landmark section of the Stilwell Road. It is 4 km long and 6 meters wide. The straight-line distance from the first turn to the twenty-fourth turn is 350 meters, the vertical height is 250 meters, and the slope angle is 60 degrees. It is a symbol of the unity of the Chinese and American soldiers and civilians in the War of Resistance against Japan and is known as the lifeline of the War of Resistance against Japan. It is also one of the main filming locations of the TV series "Twenty-four Turns". In 1945, Jiang Jieshi renamed the Yunnan-Guizhou Highway as the "Stilwell Road", and Qinglong Twenty-four Turns was recorded in history along with the Stilwell Road. On August 24, 2015, the State Council announced the first batch of 80 national-level anti-Japanese war memorial facilities and sites, and Twenty-four Turns was among them. It is the only one included in Guizhou.

A nice mountain village, the houses are very distinctive, simple and beautiful, it is also nice to pass by and take a leisure stroll. The tiankeng is much smaller than expected, a bit like artificial (of course it should not be). It should have been developed into a paid scenic spot in the past, but it is free now, and the signs and road signs of the previous scenic spot are still there. In fact, it is the best at present, not commercialized, and more natural.
