Nagasaki Port is an important port in Nagasaki Prefecture and is also called "Crane Port". The Edo shogunate in the Edo period implemented a policy of closing the country, and Nagasaki Port became an international trade port open to the whole Japan, so it prospered for a while. After the Meiji period, Nagasaki Port became the main trade and passenger round-trip route between Japan and Shanghai. At present, it is the gateway to Nagasaki, a tourist destination, as well as the transportation point with many remote islands, occupying an important position in the geographical transportation position of Nagasaki Prefecture.Nagasaki City · 3.3 km from downtown

The Glasses Bridge spans the Nakajima River that flows through Nagasaki City. It was built in the Edo period and is an ancient Japanese arched stone bridge. The arched bridge is reflected in the water, like a pair of round glasses, hence the name of the Glasses Bridge. The Glasses Bridge is one of the three famous bridges in Japan. It is as famous as the Nihonbashi Bridge in Tokyo and the Kintai Bridge in Yamaguchi. It is the prototype of the Imperial Palace Double Bridge. Dejima During the period of the country's lock-down, after the port of Nagasaki was opened to the public (1570), the city of Nagasaki was formed by means of water transportation. This is the Nakajima River. The glasses bridge erected on Nakajima River is in Tang Dynasty style and was built in 1634 by Moziru, the second abbot of an ancient Japanese temple of the Tang Dynasty. From the construction of the Glasses Bridge until the end of the 17th century, stone bridges were erected on almost all roads that crossed the Nakajima River, and there is a saying that these stone bridges were roads leading to temples in the Teramachi area. There is a well-restored Nakajima River Park on the riverside, and you can take a leisurely walk along the riverside trail. At night, the landscape lights will be lit until 22:00, and the atmosphere is elegant and the lights are gorgeous.Nagasaki City · 416m from downtown

Nagasaki Peace Park is a memorial park built on the hills north of the center of the atomic bombing to pray for world peace. In the park, there are various facilities such as the Peace Prayer Statue and the Peace Fountain. Every year on August 9, the anniversary of the atomic bombing, a peace commemoration ceremony is held in the ceremony square in front of the prayer statue. The Peace Prayer Statue The Peace Prayer Statue is made of bronze with a height of 9.7 meters and a weight of 30 tons. It symbolizes the wish of Nagasaki citizens to pray for peace. The cyan statue's right hand pointed high to the sky represents the threat of the atomic bomb explosion, the left hand stretched horizontally represents peace, and the gently closed eyelids are to pray for those who died in the atomic bomb explosion, indicating that the world can enjoy peace without the threat of the atomic bomb. . It is said that many of the martyrs whose bodies were scorched by the nuclear explosion at the Peace Spring died groaning, "Please give me water, give me water". In order to pray for such a suffering soul and offer a clear spring, to pray for the abolition of nuclear weapons and the eternal peace of the world, this fountain of peace was built. The fountain symbolizes the wings of the dove and the crane. The Tower of Thousand Paper Cranes, which was built on October 6, 1982, has two towers, which stand on both sides of the Peace Prayer Statue. Many people who visit the park fold their prayers for peace into paper cranes and dedicate the paper cranes to the tower. Xindi Chinatown is located in Xinchi Town, Nagasaki City. It is one of the three major Chinatowns in Japan alongside Yokohama Chinatown and Kobe Nanjing Town. There are about 40 Chinese restaurants and Chinese grocery stores on both sides of the street. The street is located on newly opened land that was reclaimed from the sea for the construction of warehouses for Chinese imported trade goods in the middle of the Edo period. There is a Zhonghua Gate at the entrances of the east, west, north and south of the cross road with a total length of about 250 meters, and the traditional Chinese orientation is carved. The animals of the gods are Qinglong, White Tiger, Suzaku, and Xuanwu. The slate route of Xindi Chinatown was assisted in the construction of Nagasaki's sister city, Fuzhou City. To taste Nagasaki food, when it comes to the food that represents Nagasaki, we have to mention assorted noodles (ちゃんぽん), which was first created by Mr. Chen Pingshun, the first-generation founder of the Chinese restaurant Sihailou, and gradually spread to other stores, becoming the representative of Nagasaki Sexual cuisine. There is also crunchy "pan udon", which is no less popular than assorted noodles. Why not visit Chinatown for a relaxing taste of Nagasaki's local flavors. People celebrate the bright, round and beautiful "Mid-Autumn Moon" as a symbol of family reunion. . The 1,000 full moon lanterns that adorn Chinatown is a wonderful finale. After the Catholic ban was lifted, Urakami believers who were granted religious freedom first made plans to build churches. Due to the difficulty of raising funds, construction of the church began in 1895, more than 20 years after the plan was introduced. In 1914, Japan's premier basilica of brick Roman architecture was built, and a church dedication ceremony was held. In the atomic bombing of 1945, the main entrance of the Twin Towers, containing the French prayer bell, was completely damaged. Due to the impact of the blast, the prayer bell was uprooted along with the bell tower. The current building was rebuilt in 1959 and renovated in 1980 to complete the tiled structure. There are stone statues of the atomic bomb site around it, and a prayer bell that has withstood the impact of the atomic bomb blast, which still keeps the time three times a day.Nagasaki City · 3 km from downtown

Holland Slope is a section of slope under the Living Water Academy, the first women's college in Japan, located in the exotic Higashiyamate. From the Edo period to the Meiji period, many foreigners walked on this slope. Because Japan had long-term trade relations with the Netherlands, the Nagasaki people at that time called all Western foreigners "Mr. Holland". Foreigners must pass here when they pray, so the stone slope is called "Dutch slope", which means "the stone slope of the Dutch people".Nagasaki City · 1.4 km from downtown

The port of Nagasaki in Japan is worth visiting! The blue sea and blue sky are so beautiful! There are many birds flying on the sea, the dynamic and static scenes are combined, and the cruise ship is smart and moves on the sea. I recommend everyone to visit!

Located on the Nakajima River in Nagasaki City, it was designed by Chinese monk Ru Ding in 1634. It is a double-arch stone bridge. At the time of its construction, it was the only stone arch bridge in Japan, except for the Tennyu Bridge in the Ryukyu Kingdom at that time. It is lined up with 20 ancient bridges nearby, less than 100 meters apart, forming the "Nagasaki Stone Bridge Group". It was listed as an important cultural property of Japan in 1960 and is one of the three most famous bridges in Japan.

The three most recognized night views in the world are Victoria Harbor in Hong Kong, Hakodate in Japan, and Naples in Italy. In Japan, a new world's three major night views were selected in 2012, among which Hakodate in Japan became Nagasaki. The characteristics of this new world's three major night views (Nagasaki): huge coverage area, dotted with stars, "it seems like the Milky Way falling from the sky". Transportation: Take bus No. 3 or No. 5 at Nagasaki Station to the cable car station and buy a cable car ticket. It is recommended to buy a round-trip ticket, 1250 yen. There is a 3-story observation deck on the top of the mountain, and a coffee hall on the 1st floor, which are basically full. There is a toilet on B1. The top floor is an outdoor observation deck.

Nagasaki Shinchi Chinatown is very small. It is not the kind of large area that everyone imagines, with the streets full of Chinese expatriates and Chinese stores. Maybe Chinatowns in Los Angeles or Bangkok have this feeling. Nagasaki is more like a Chinese-style food street and shopping street, not a very good tourist attraction.

Suwa Shrine is the largest shrine in Nagasaki, usually called Chinsei Taisha. Shrines are an integral part of Japanese culture, and almost every Japanese town has a shrine. Today, there happened to be an event at the shrine, and children aged three, five, and seven were brought by their parents to pray. The children in formal attire (kimono) were so cute!

At the end of the Peace Park, it was built to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the explosion. It shows that reality is a combination of God and Buddha, and various gestures pray for peace. It was designed by a Japanese designer. It was under renovation when I went there, and many people would offer a bouquet of flowers as a memorial when they came. Opposite the sculpture is the ruins of the explosion site, which makes people feel a little sad.

It is said that it was once the largest church in East Asia, but it was completely destroyed in the Nagasaki nuclear bombing. Today, it is a rebuilt church. Around the church, there are still some broken walls and ruins left by the nuclear bombing.

Going up a small slope on the mountain, you will see the Dutch Slope in front of you. At that time, there were some Westerners living here, so it was a gathering place for foreigners. The Japanese called them Dutch. There are some old Western buildings here, and there are many shops on the roadside where you can buy gifts and food. There is also a Living Water Women's University built here with beautiful scenery.
