This is a private museum entirely funded by the founding Zubair family, showcasing Omani artifacts collected by the Zubair family. Bait Al Zubair consists of three buildings and a traditional-style garden. The main building was built in 1914 and was once the residence of the Zubair family. It has now been renovated to adapt to its function as a museum, but Omani architectural elements can still be seen. Exhibits include portraits of the Sultans of the Al Busaidi dynasty, Khanjars, traditional Omani men's and women's clothing, swords, rare jewelry, and Omani household items. The garden on the ground floor is a hidden gem; in addition to a model of an Omani village, it also restores ancient water distribution systems, a marketplace, stone houses, and more. Another building, Bait Dalaleel, has been carefully renovated to reflect the true essence of Omani architecture. Here, you will experience the life of Omanis from over 100 years ago firsthand. The third building, Bait Al Oud, was opened as part of the museum's 10th-anniversary celebrations. The ground floor exhibits include typical Muscati furniture. Well maintained private museum in Oman, you will get to know a lot about the Omani culture when you visit here, place is very clean and well organised. Ticket price is 3.2 OMR. There is also a cafe and restaurant in the museum premise. Staff is really friendly. When I went place was really empty with just few other tourists.
