Chengdu OCT Huanglongxi Happy Idyll has nearly 10,000 square meters of large-scale wild water play area in Longxi Valley, which integrates amusement and water play, Internet celebrity projects, leisure entertainment, and immersive experience, covering the four major areas of Lagerstroemia Die Stream, Banyan Tree Pond, Metasequoia Forest, and Peach Blossom Lake. The theme water play area, here is a summer holy place and water paradise for the citizens of Rongcheng. In the paddy water area, bottle feeding fish and eagle feeding is not only full of experience, but also interesting and ornamental. Huanglongxi Happy Pastoral is an unrestrained and poetic Garden of Eden, praised as "Country Turkey". The scenic area has seven themed areas, including Dahe Terraced Fields, Chuanjiang Caohai Area, Wuyang Tea Valley Area, Luxi Pasture Area, and Colorful Forest Area, which can satisfy your romantic fantasy of rural life. The scenic area has agricultural landscapes such as spectacular terraced fields, leisurely pastures, cascading tea hills, dreamy seas of grass and flowers, reproducing the prosperity of Tianfu farming and vividly interpreting the rural life of Sichuan and Shu. Here, you can not stick to the fast-paced life of the city, stay away from the hustle and bustle, take a walk in the fields, experience the leisure of feeding alpacas in the pasture, feel the innocence of nature, and enjoy a relaxing environment. The viewing time of rapeseed flowers is from late February to mid-March. Recommended places for viewing flowers: outer squares, terraced fields, Xishu villages, and pastoral trains; Peach Blossom Lake, Haitang Lake, Peach Blossom Slope and other places can enjoy the beautiful peach blossoms; in March, you can enjoy pear blossoms on Pear Blossom Avenue; from late April to late May, you can see large tracts of verbena on the Romantic Road and swim in the purple ocean. There are many jacarandas planted on Jacaranda Avenue, and it is recommended to enjoy the flowers from late May to early June every year. In combination with natural conditions, Huanglongxi Happy Pastoral has created three adventure paths in the "Jungle Adventure" project, namely the dragon line, the mountain line, and the village line, which ingeniously connect animals, nature, villages and people, a safety rope, and an adventure mobile rope. Take you through suspended bridges and swings and explores the wild world. Here, there is everything to eat, drink, and play, and there is continuous joy throughout the year. It is a dream place for the whole family to travel.Chengdu · 30.9 km from Meishan

This cable car is very convenient and easy. If you're traveling with elderly people, you should definitely take it. My parents and I rode it to the top of the mountain, then walked from the Lanxi cliff to the middle of the Ancient Buddha cable car station, and then sat down again. The timing was perfect, not too tiring, and we got to see beautiful views of the whole city. Highly recommended!

Many thanks to Professor Meng for the explanation! Professor Meng is very knowledgeable about Su Dongpo's life and poetry, and recounted it in a clear and engaging manner. Visiting the Three Su Ancestral Hall, the birthplace of Su Dongpo, and listening to the explanation filled me with emotion. I was deeply moved and gained a profound understanding of Su Dongpo's character. I highly recommend it!

Pengzu Mountain, located in Pengshan District, Meishan City, is a 4A scenic area known as the "Number One Mountain of Chinese Health and Wellness Culture." The mountain is not very high, and the 999-step Longevity Ladder has a gentle slope, making it easy for people of all ages to climb. The main attractions are the Qishan Twin Buddhas, stone carvings from the Kaiyuan era of the Tang Dynasty, more than 70 years older than the Leshan Giant Buddha; there are also cultural sites such as the Pengzu Temple, Pengzu Tomb, and a Qi-gathering field. The Wangjiang Tower at the summit offers panoramic views of the Minjiang River. It is easily accessible by car, with ample parking. Disadvantages: Most of the buildings are later reconstructions, with few original ancient relics; there are many health and wellness-related consumer services within the scenic area; those simply looking for magnificent natural scenery may find the views rather ordinary.

Misty rain and fog create a picturesque scene, like a traditional Chinese ink painting. Although located in western Sichuan, the town boasts verdant mountains and clear waters, with a charm that rivals that of Jiangnan – Liujiang Ancient Town. 👣👣 Stroll through Liujiang Ancient Town in the early morning, starting with a bowl of steaming hot tofu pudding to warm your stomach, followed by some local delicacies (cold noodles, guokui, and ye'erba) to enhance the experience. Walk to the [Ancient Suspension Bridge]. In the early morning, the bridge is shrouded in mist, appearing and disappearing in the morning light, like a flowing ink painting. In the evening, as the lights come on, the bridge and the surrounding stilted houses create a beautiful and atmospheric scene. 📷📷 Then stroll along Liujiang's stone-paved streets and wander through the misty alleys. You'll see many people sitting under the shade of the [Millennial Banyan Tree], drinking tea and relaxing. 😳😳 You can join them! ✌️✌️ Experience the tranquility and rustic charm – a perfect place to experience a slower pace of life. Visit the Zeng Family Mansion in Liujiang to learn about the life of a wealthy family in the late Qing Dynasty. This manor is truly remarkable; the courtyard, viewed from above, forms the traditional Chinese character for "longevity," subtly reflecting the Chinese wish for long life—a truly unique and impressive sight! It's also a living history book: built between 1927 and 1937, it belonged to the capable Zeng Yicheng. A local saying, "The Zeng family's house, the Yang family's roof, the Zhang family's maids, the He family's grain," aptly illustrates its former prominence. Finally, head to the Tiaodeng Bridge in Liujiang Ancient Town. The bridge is paved with irregularly shaped stone slabs, allowing visitors to experience the fun of jumping across it at varying speeds, feeling the primitive and vibrant way the townspeople "jump across" the river. Due to the slippery surface, it's recommended to wear non-slip shoes. Strolling on the bridge in the morning mist or at sunset offers a unique and poetic experience. 📷📷 👣👣At noon, head to the heart of the ancient town to sample the intangible cultural heritage of rattan pepper duck. We recommend [Qiu Ji Rattan Pepper Duck], a long-established brand with authentic flavors and affordable prices. They even offer free vacuum packaging, perfect for packing as souvenirs for family and friends. If you'd like some Sichuan cuisine, we recommend [Daohuaxiang Local Cuisine Restaurant]. Their dishes, such as the mint-flavored fish and Buddha's hand eggplant, are made with fresh ingredients and generous portions. For hot pot, we recommend [Liuhuwan Stone Pot Fish Restaurant]. Their yellow catfish and secret-recipe hot pot fish are freshly killed and cooked, resulting in tender, flavorful, and spicy dishes. Enjoy delicious food and soak in the lively atmosphere of the ancient town. 😛😛 👣👣In the afternoon, take a scenic hike to view the ancient town. Take a taxi directly to [Liujiang Yuping Mountain Glass Viewing Platform] for a panoramic view. The glass walkway is built on a cliff with a drop of approximately 350 meters, making you feel as if you're suspended above an abyss. Standing on the viewing platform, you can enjoy a 360° panoramic view of Liujiang Ancient Town, Huaxi Ancient Town, and the surrounding pastoral scenery. The area offers various outdoor activities such as forest ziplining, treetop walks, and rainbow slides, allowing you to experience the romantic mountain atmosphere of "walking through a painting." 📷📷 👍👍If time permits, you can also visit the [Hongya Liujiang Ancient Town Yuping Mountain Paragliding Base] for a thrilling paragliding experience. Visitors can be guided or receive professional training, enjoying a bird's-eye view of the entire ancient town and experiencing the thrill of soaring through the sky, a close interaction with the heavens. 📷📷 Besides flying, the base also offers camping and barbecue services, allowing you to grill meat and crayfish on the viewing platform while watching others soar.

Jiangkou Sunken Treasure Museum is a unique museum near Chengdu that's well worth a special trip to visit. The centuries-old folk tale of "Stone Dragon Facing Stone Tiger, Gold and Silver Worth Millions" is brought to life here through unearthed artifacts, creating a powerful impact. The architecture is very stylish, with its red sandstone exterior echoing the Minjiang Riverbed, and the exhibition halls have a clear layout. The museum's prized possessions include the gold seal of the Grand Marshal of Yongchang and the gold seal of the Prince of Shu, along with numerous gold books, silver ingots, and gold and silver jewelry—all genuine artifacts salvaged from the bottom of the Minjiang River, offering a direct glimpse into the historical traces of the chaotic late Ming Dynasty. The exhibition halls feature archaeological site reconstructions, video presentations, and a popular "gold and silver mountain" installation—perfect for taking photos. There's also a VR interactive experience, ideal for introducing history to children.

This stay was fantastic! The room was tastefully decorated with a sophisticated color scheme and a great atmosphere. The bed was very comfortable, the bedding was clean and fluffy, and the room was spacious with multiple beds, making it perfect for families. The city skyline view from the window at night was incredibly immersive. Overall, the room was clean, quiet, and provided a great rest. It was excellent value for money and I highly recommend it!

I'd been there before and had a great impression. This time, on my second day in Chengdu, I chose Huanglongxi Ancient Town. Previously, I'd taken a bus from the Xin Nanmen Bus Station, but when I got there, they said the bus service had been cancelled. Not wanting to take the subway and transfer, I called a ride-hailing service. We encountered road construction and were stuck in traffic for almost an hour before finally being driven directly to the entrance of the ancient town. The fare was about 60-70 yuan. The ancient town wasn't as lively as before, and there weren't many tourists. After wandering around for a while, I felt it wasn't very interesting. I found a teahouse and had some very pleasant tea. The weather was neither too hot nor too cold, and the sunlight filtering through the leaves occasionally felt nice on my face. I checked the transportation back; it was either a long walk to the bus station to take a bus to the nearest subway station, Huilong, or I had to call a taxi. I hadn't expected the transportation to be so inconvenient, so I decided to call a taxi directly to Chunxi Road for some delicious food.

I arrived at Ya'nv Lake at the foot of Wawu Mountain in early September, just in time to avoid the summer peak season. The lake area was surprisingly quiet and peaceful with few tourists. The daytime sunshine was bright and clear; the mountains had already shed their summer heat in September, and a gentle breeze made it incredibly comfortable. The high-altitude lake had crystal-clear water, with the distant Wawu Mountain silhouetted clearly. Sunlight shimmered on the lake's surface, creating a beautiful reflection of the mountains and water, offering expansive views. Whether driving slowly along the road or stopping at the viewing platform to enjoy the fresh air and the fragrance of nature, there was no need to fight for a good photo spot; every snapshot was a clean and soothing picture of nature. The scenic area is free to enter and not overly commercialized, making it perfect for relaxation and rejuvenation. Without the hustle and bustle of peak season, there was a tranquil and leisurely atmosphere amidst the mountains and water. Whether it's a short stop to take photos or staying overnight to watch the sunset and sunrise, it's a great place for a short, relaxing vacation. Traveling off-peak provides a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend it to those who appreciate quiet, natural scenery.
