Sandboarding in Tongliao

Tongliao sand sliding is mainly concentrated in several desert tourist areas in Tongliao City, especially Kulun Yinshawan Tourist Area and Baogutu Desert. Kulun Yinshawan Tourist Area is located 28 kilometers northwest of Kulun Banner, Tongliao City. It is located in the Taminchagan Desert and is known as the "No. 1 Desert in Northeast China" and the "Eastern Pole of the World Desert". The sand here is fine and the sand dunes are undulating, making it an ideal place for sand sliding. Baogutu Desert is located in the heart of Horqin Sandy Land and is a comprehensive desert tourist area integrating tourism, adventure and entertainment. The sand here is moderately soft and is known as the "gentle desert". Not only can you experience the fun of sand sliding, but you can also participate in various activities such as hiking and desert off-roading. Tamin Chagan, translated as "devil" or "hell" in Mongolian, is also called "Devil's Great Desert". It extends from the eastern part of Naiman Banner to Kulun Banner, and snakes into the territory of Kulun Banner. In the hot summer, the spectacle of "sand mirage", or towers and palaces, or urban scenery, will occasionally appear in the depths of the desert, which are fleeting and dreamlike. In this vast sand sea, vegetation is sparse. Except for a little sandy vegetation such as yellow wicker, sand wormwood and camel awn growing in its hinterland. They are all golden sand, and some sand dunes are as high as 70-80 meters. The sand is very soft, no worse than seaside sand. There are also a variety of recreational activities in the scenic area, such as sand boarding, camel riding, and horse riding. Those who like exciting projects can also try a sand motorcycle to experience the thrill of galloping in the desert.Hure Banner · 23 km from downtown

Daqing Ditch is a long, beautiful and fertile ditch. As the "Green Pearl of Horqin Sandy Land," it was named "Chonghule" by Mongolians. There are verdant trees and blooming flowers in the ditch. The springs from the bottom of the ditch converge to form a twisted, clear creek. Various plants are grown on both sides of the ditch, including evergreen and deciduous trees, with bushes in between. It is a perfect choice in high season in China.Horqin Left Rear Banner · 35.4 km from Hure Banner

Worth going, beautiful. I can't miss it, haha. The blue sky and white clouds are indeed beautiful, and the desert is beautiful. The service is also good. You can't see such a blue sky and such beautiful scenery in the city. The off-road racing is so exciting that I feel like I'm going to fly to the sky, hahaha. The sand sliding is indeed enough for three or five times, and it's too tiring to climb up haha. Summary: The sand is really fine and the scenery is really beautiful

Located in the center of Kulun town, there is free parking in front of the temple. It's a very quiet ancient temple with minimal commercial activity. It's a good idea to do some research online before visiting, or hire a guided tour; having some prior knowledge will make the visit much more enjoyable.

It should be considered an entry-level desert. It was worth the trip because I had never been to the desert before. I took my children on a camel ride. It happened to be sunset, so it was not so hot. I also saw a rainbow, which felt pretty good.

A place of great historical significance, offering a glimpse into the past of Northeast China and a recreation of Fengtian (Shenyang) a century ago. I happened to be there during a special promotion from Northeast Supermarket; Liaoning's cultural and tourism sector really did a fantastic job! 👍🏻

The Shenyang Imperial Palace is also very large; by the end, I was completely exhausted. Inside the scenic area, there's Zhang Xueliang's former residence, and a financial museum was included as a bonus. All of these were quite interesting and worth seeing.

There were so many people and tourists that I didn't have time to take in many things. It's like a low-end version of the Forbidden City in Beijing. Many of the artifacts on display were discarded from the Forbidden City. Some rooms were off-limits, so people crowded around the entrances to take photos. There was no lighting inside, so the photos didn't look great. The architecture is still quite distinctive.

We went to the desert in the morning and Daqinggou in the afternoon. The scenery was very beautiful. I didn't expect that Tongliao has grasslands, deserts, such quiet primeval forests and quiet lakes. It's worth seeing.
