Horqin Grassland

Horqin Grassland is not a single enclosed scenic area, but a vast grassland stretching across the eastern part of Inner Mongolia. It mainly covers Tongliao and Hinggan League, bordering Hulunbuir Grassland to the north and Xilin Gol to the west, and is located at the northwest end of the Songliao Plain. "Horqin" comes from the Mongolian language, meaning "archer," and is named after the Horqin tribe that has lived and herded here for generations. This is also the place of birth of Empress Dowager Xiaozhuang of the Qing Dynasty (grandmother of Emperor Kangxi) and the hometown of the national hero Gada Meilin. The Andai dance and Horqin folk songs, which originated in the Hure Banner area, are still sung on the grassland today. Unlike endless pure meadows, the charm of Horqin lies in the interlacing of grasslands, sandy lands, sparse forests, and rivers. The Horqin Sandy Land, one of the four major sandy lands in China, is embedded among the pastures, with oases and sand dunes appearing alternately. The Zhurihe Grassland on the Tongliao side is located in the hinterland, where herds of horses and sheep are scattered under the blue sky and white clouds. You can ride Mongolian horses, stay in yurts, and at night, gather around a bonfire to drink mare's milk wine and eat roasted whole lamb, living a day of authentic nomadic life. Daqinggou in Horqin Left Rear Banner is a green, deep gully stretching over 20 km in the sandy land, where spring water at the bottom of the gully gathers into clear streams; you can hike along the forest paths to Sanchakou and Xiaoqing Lake. Heading north into Hinggan League, the Greater Khingan Range forest area has patches of larch, and historical sites such as the Genghis Khan Temple in Ulanhot and the Senggelinqin Prince Mansion (Bo Prince Mansion) in Horqin Left Rear Banner are also scattered along this route. This grassland consists of multiple scattered pastures and tourist spots that are far apart from each other. Public transportation is limited, so visitors from other places often use Tongliao or Ulanhot as a hub and then take a car charter to various locations. Summer is the season when the water and grass are lush, making it the perfect time for horseback riding, watching horse racing, and attending bonfire parties. The temperature difference between day and night on the grassland is large, so it is advisable to bring a jacket even when traveling in midsummer.Horqin Left Rear Banner · 41 km from Hure Banner

There were so many people and tourists that I didn't have time to take in many things. It's like a low-end version of the Forbidden City in Beijing. Many of the artifacts on display were discarded from the Forbidden City. Some rooms were off-limits, so people crowded around the entrances to take photos. There was no lighting inside, so the photos didn't look great. The architecture is still quite distinctive.

I have to give a thumbs up to my hometown. It should be best to go there in September, which is neither too cold nor too hot. I once dreamed of traveling around the world with a sword, visiting different places, and appreciating different scenery and culture. [Scenery] The environment is very good, the service is also very thoughtful, and there will be professional guidance🐂🍺 [Scenery]

I rode a shared bike along Zhongjie Street in Shenyang to get to the Shenyang Imperial Palace. The street was really lively, but apparently, you can't park bikes along the way; you have to go around to a farther area to park. It seems that the city center commercial street isn't suitable for shared bikes. The next morning, I walked back to Zhongjie Street. There weren't many people on the street that morning. I saw Liu Laogen Grand Stage, but when I turned into the Imperial Palace, there was already a long queue waiting for it to open.

Xingcheng Ancient City truly lives up to its reputation as one of the four best-preserved ancient cities from the Ming Dynasty in my country. The Ming and Qing Dynasty architecture and cultural features within the city showcase the grandeur of a historical and cultural city. The ancient city walls and barbican are remarkably well-preserved. Overall, it's well worth a visit; combining modern humanistic concepts with a blend of ancient and modern atmosphere, it's a place you'll want to return to again and again.

Qipanshan is a famous mountain in Shenyang City. It has a wildlife park, a film and television city, a World Horticultural Exposition Garden, many villa areas, and an outlet town. The scenery is beautiful, but it is quite far to get into the scenic area. During holidays, it is often impossible to drive in or out.

Hongshan Museum and Hongshan Park are adjacent to each other, the origin of the city's name Chifeng, and also a landmark scenic spot. It's best to visit in the afternoon, as the setting sun casts a vibrant red glow on the mountains, making for stunning photos. The museum displays artifacts unearthed from the ancient Hongshan Culture, the most famous being the jade dragon, a symbol of Chifeng. The original is currently housed in the National Museum of China, but here it's shown as a 3D projection. The park is now a public park for Chifeng residents, where many people spend holidays.

The joy of the off-season is having a dedicated guide. For Shenbo, the guide mainly focused on the second floor. Xiao Sun explained things very carefully and comprehensively, and was able to answer some questions. He had a lot of relevant knowledge, and there was enough time.
