Reviews: [Summer limited] Hokkaido Cape Kamui 1-day tour · Otaru Pickajima Takei Coast Yoichi Distillery
Guest User2026-08-13
The tour was good. I was the only Japanese person, but the tour guide, Nikuniku-san, spoke Japanese and was very kind. The only downside was that we went by a blue minibus, and the seats were narrow, old, tilted, and hard. On top of that, it was hot in the summer, and there were felt cushions on the seats, so it was hot and uncomfortable to sit for a long time.

This tour was even more fun than I expected. Our tour leader, Xiao Ma, was incredibly dedicated and responsible; he even stayed with my friend who had fallen behind. Watching him switch seamlessly between Chinese, English, and Japanese throughout the trip was particularly entertaining. This tour was definitely worth the price of admission. If you're planning to take public transportation to Kamui Gorge, I highly recommend this tour. The only slight disappointment was that we didn't get a chance to try the sea urchin rice bowl, as it was either sold out or closed when we went. Xiao Ma said the weather wasn't perfect, but it was still amazing for me.

Our tour guide was very humorous, telling us about Hokkaido's customs, culture, and tourist attractions along the way. He thoughtfully reminded us of meeting times, and the weather was great. He even told us where to take better photos. I loved it!

Good tour, plenty of time on the spots, you can use your time as you want. Not so many peaches on the fruit farm at busy hours, though. Thanks to our guide Rou Rou for detailed and clear instructions and attention.
Reviews: 1-day tour to Cape Kamui in Hokkaido, Japan · Picking Otaru Shimamuii coast distillery (optional pickup)

The itinerary was perfectly arranged. We went to Cape Kamui in the morning, and luckily there weren't many people or traffic jams. The weather was also great, so the scenery was fantastic. In the afternoon, we had the option of visiting the island's scenic coast and either the distillery or fruit picking. No matter which we chose, we were guaranteed ample time to explore. Finally, we arrived in Otaru and had time to do some shopping and sightseeing. Our guide, Rou Rou, was very professional, provided excellent service, was fluent in multiple languages, knew the routes very well, and was able to make great recommendations. A very satisfying and cost-effective day trip!
