Reviews: Walvis Bay: Sandwich Harbour Half-Day 4x4 Tour
Guest User2026-10-30
What a great experience! Sammy was our guide and impressed us with his professionalism and attention to detail. We would have never imagined having a memorable lunch on the dunes with a glass of wine in hand and overloooking the smashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean. Besides, Sammy knows how to impress even small chidren, playing with them and showing surprising tricks in the desert. He has a great knowledge about the fauna and flora. We have seen a jackal, many seals, flamingos, pelicans, and even an ostrich in the middle of the desert! The activity starts 30 minutes earlier than it happens in other travel agencies and it's a huge difference as allows you avoid the crowds. Thanks so much for making our day special at Sandwich Harbour!

A great idea for seeing more or less everything there is to see in Walvis Bay. Unfortunately, there were no dolphins or whales (but seals and pelicans) and no flamingos, but you have to take that into account; in nature, you can't be sure of anything.

The pickup at the cruise terminal went smoothly after a bit of searching. Hans got us safely through the long day, even though the Jeep wasn't quite cooperating towards the end. We had a lot of fun.

A truly unique experience. I can highly recommend it. You have to be careful, otherwise a little sea dog might end up in your kayak with you.
