The itinerary was rather rushed, a bit whirlwind, but it covered most of Beijing's iconic landmarks. Our tour guide, Liu Yansong, provided excellent service; he was friendly, his explanations were thorough, and he had a great sense of humor, keeping the atmosphere lively throughout the trip. The hotel, however, was terrible. Despite being advertised as a five-star hotel, it was just a regular three-star. Even after staying for so many days, they didn't change the sheets, and the environment was old and poor. The TV was an old-fashioned, thick, and dark model, and the bathroom didn't even have a showerhead. Aside from the hotel itself, I was satisfied with everything else. I strongly request a change of partner hotel.★

I really liked this day trip from Hohhot! ☺️ A day well spent outside the city and get a feel of the Inner Mongolian countryside and the stunning geological park! Be aware, it is a Chinese group tour, so the main language will be Chinese, no problem in my opinion, just make sure you are not missing out on any important info (meeting points/time), also I was really lucky to have such a friendly driver and other group participants who made sure I was taken care of😊 Also be aware that if you want to take a tour through the grassland in an offroad vehicle that will be an extra service to pay for (which is fair enough as the tour itself is pretty affordable)! And think about what you wanna see in the geological park because it’s a lot bigger than I thought! I joined as a solo traveller (after making sure with the service team that it was okay since the minimum amount of participants you have to select is 2 - be prepared to pay for 2 tho, in case there aren’t enough other participants)★

Comfortable tour with freedom to adjust time and space within each spot. As I was the only foreigner, our driver/guide was able to communicate easier via WeChat and ensured I got to the train station in time. Pickup was very early, so got a bit tired. Rest stops on the long drive segments helped!★

BEFORE the tour: They contacted me in advance and created a group chat to keep me informed about the logistics (hotel pickup, etc.) since I was the only foreigner and I don't speak Mandarin Chinese. DURING the tour: The driver communicated with me very regularly about what we were going to do, the time spent at each location, and what we would do next. This way, I was kept informed of everything that was happening. Overall, everything was well-organized and aligned with the Trip itinerary. A nearly personalized experience from beginning to end.
