As soon as I arrived in Japan, it was converted to AU, giving me unlimited data, making it incredibly convenient for using Google Maps on my trip! I ordered two eSIM cards. One for me and one for my wife. For some reason, the connection didn't work in China, which was disappointing at first. Then it turned out I needed to enable roaming in the SIM card settings (iPhone 17). And I got a connection in the Philippines. The reception is pretty good, you can even make video calls.


