Reviews: Mari Mari Cultural Village Tour with Lunch or Hi-Tea

Highly recommended!! (Make sure to bring mosquito repellent and bug bite cream) I applied for the reservation and received a message via KakaoTalk on the day of the booking. I booked the morning tour, but since it was fully booked, they recommended the afternoon time or another day. I really wanted to do the Mari-Mari tour, so I adjusted my schedule and changed it to the afternoon time on the same day. They picked us up in front of the hotel. Perhaps because we booked for 4 people, it was a private vehicle, and all four of us slept soundly during the ride. The Mari-Mari tour itself was fantastic. The tour itinerary is identical to the explanations given during the tour sessions. The tour was conducted in 4 groups, totaling about 12 people. They explained each tribe in English, and we were able to taste traditional liquor and snacks. You can also try henna, and the traditional performances were very exciting. I had seen traditional performances at Imago Mall and other places, but since I enjoyed it so thoroughly here, I didn't feel the need to watch any other shows. Finally, High Tea (dinner) was included, so we had it, but it was just okay. When I came out after dinner, the driver recognized me and came to meet me. Both the pickup and drop-off were from the hotel, but when I asked the driver to drop me off at KK Plaza, he readily agreed, so I was dropped off there. If this is your first trip to Kota Kinabalu, I highly recommend doing the Mari Mari Tour at least once in your life!! Aramaiti~!
