This time, since we were going to ski at Hong Kong Hill, which is quite far from Osaka, we bought this JR Pass, which was very cost-effective. A round trip would normally cost around 6,000-7,000 yen, so this basically saved us half the price. I recommend buying GRP tickets if you're traveling to distant places in Japan, as they generally save you money, and if you buy tickets for multiple trips, they often include some premium fares.

A very affordable and convenient ticket. We visited the Umeda Observation Deck, the Osaka History Museum (the museum has an excellent observation deck of Osaka Castle), and Osaka Castle, and rode the subway all day.

It was a great experience. The package I bought on Ctrip was a great deal, cheaper than buying it directly at the counter, and it even included a serving of takoyaki at the 58th-floor restaurant. The scenery was also amazing. Highly recommended.


