A half-day immersive durian-eating and durian-tree-viewing experience was fantastic! Our driver, Krystal, recommended we start with the milder D15 as an "appetizer," followed by the rich, full-bodied, and sweet Black Thorn. After Huangjia Orchard, we moved on to Tujia Village for freshly caught red prawns. Since we went at the end of the season, what varieties we could get was entirely up to luck. After eating durian, we used the shells to hold water to drink, so we didn't have to worry about the heatiness. Then we used the shells to wash our hands, rubbing the soft white part inside the shell with our fingers to help the odor dissipate faster.
