Reviews: Killarney: Hop-On Hop-Off Bus to Killarney National Park
Guest User2026-10-27
It was a great tour to visit some sights in the National Park. Although the bus stops are sometimes hard to find (especially the blue stops), it was great to have the freedom to roam around some of the areas, to book a tour in between and to have time to enjoy the views. I would definitely recommend this if you want to take a day trip to the National Park.

We throughly enjoyed our guided walk through the Killarney National Park with Richard Clancy . He is so knowledgeable and personable , we didn’t want our walk to end. You will get to experience the splendor of Ireland off the beaten path. We even saw the rowing team!

The location was easy to access by car and there was plenty of parking in the off season. We were promptly greeted by Martin and we quickly got underway. Martin’s kindness, humor, and deep knowledge of the area brought the entire journey to life. He shared stories, history, and local insights that you simply wouldn’t get anywhere else. His passion for Killarney and its heritage shines through in every moment. And the scenery? Absolutely breathtaking. Traveling through Killarney National Park by carriage felt like stepping into a postcard lush greenery, peaceful lakes, majestic mountains, and ancient ruins including Muckross Abbey. It was the perfect way to slow down, take in the beauty, and truly appreciate the magic of this incredible place. If you are visiting Killarney, don’t miss this experienc. McCarthy’s Carriage Rides offers charm, comfort, and authentic Irish warmth. Highly recommended!

Reviews: Killarney: Ring of Kerry Bus Tour
Guest User2026-10-22
Booked the tour the night before and it was a great decision. Size of the bus was great to have a more focused tour with the fabulous guide, Batt. Incredible value for the amount we learned, laughed and enjoyed the Ring of Kerry.

This was a really fun excursion! From the meeting point, you are bussed out to where the jaunting carts congregate. The drivers are very organized, four people to a jaunting cart (cash only), so our party of two was paired with another couple.Liam and his dad were great guides; very entertaining:). Be warned that there is a portion of the ride where everyone gets out and walks up a couple of steep hills. I had a walking boot on at the time, so was able to stay in the cart, which made this a pretty good activity to get out and see a lot of things even with limited mobility. There is a nice restaurant (cash only) where are you take a break for a while before the boats take off back to Killarney. The boats are small, open boats, and you go across the lakes until you get back to town. Very scenic!
