The tour guide provided detailed, patient, and humorous explanations, and the time was well-managed. It was a very enjoyable trip, allowing me to experience the warmth and hospitality of Inner Mongolia and its unique customs and culture. A highly recommended tour group.
Reviews: Hohhot 1-Day Tour: Ulan Hada Volcano and Huitengxile Grassland (Group or Private Tour Available)

The meadow and the volcano are beautiful, although there are many tourists, many with sparklers. The itinerary is very good for the price. The tour was in Chinese, but the guide spoke English, so I had no communication problems.
Reviews: One-day tour from Hohhot to Huitengxile Grassland and Ulan Hada Volcano
Guest User2025-12-23
I recently took the one day tour to the Huitengxile grassland and Ulan Hada Volcano with my wife and 9-year-old daughter and it was an amazing experience. The tour organizer was extremely helpful in planning and arranging the tour, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable trip. We were picked up in the morning by a friendly and accommodating driver who shared the van with other passengers, mainly university students from different parts of China. The trip itself was full of beautiful sights and photo opportunities, and our driver made sure to stop along the way for us to take pictures and enjoy the scenery. Despite the cold and windy weather in winter, we had a great time at the grassland thanks to our wonderful driver. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a fun and hassle-free way to explore the Huitengxile grassland and Ulan Hada Volcano.

From holding my things to taking pictures, he did it all! Thank you, Mr. Li! I wish the tour company had better communication before the trip. I didnt know when I was getting picked up until the morning of the tour. The booking page here says to meet at Hohhot Stadium at 7:30am, but I was picked up directly from my hotel around 8am. I thought maybe we were going to meet the rest of the tour group at the stadium, but I realized that Mr. Li was going to be my private driver for the day. Upgrade! Mr. Li advised me to buy a shade had with a veil from a street vendor, and that was a life saver! I recommend bringing a scarf or wide brimmed hat and mask. It was magical to see the sand whirling off the dunes! The natural beauty was quite striking. Blues sky, white clouds, and golden sand! Unfortunately what i quickly
