My family took the Zhujiajiao and Huangpu River private tour (in English). We confirmed our reservation via WeChat the day before departure. The driver and our guide, Jenny, arrived before the scheduled time and provided detailed explanations of the sights. Although we were pressed for time to board the cruise due to city traffic, veteran guide Jenny asked a colleague to prepare our tickets in advance, allowing us to board just in the nick of time. We had absolutely no trouble communicating with Jenny in English. The tour with the kind and responsible Jenny was enjoyable and memorable. I will use this service again if I visit Shanghai in the future.

Luckily, there weren't many people booking tours, so our family got the whole tour to ourselves. Although Xiao Luo is young, she was very well-prepared. She brought along pictures of the Ten Scenes of West Lake from the Southern Song Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty and explained each scene to the children. The itinerary was very well planned; although we walked for almost three hours, it wasn't tiring at all with the explanations. We loved it as tour guide is skiilful in navigating through the itineraries despite the weather (we visited Huxueyan mansion first as it was raining and went to Xihu later on when the weather cleared up). Not sure if it's because if timing change, most of the time the place we visited is not crowded at all and it really felt like super private tour! No hard selling and the restaurant recommended in Xihu is very very nice.
