Reviews: Miyajima World Heritage Torii Kayak Tour
Guest User2026-10-19
What a wonderful experience and such a unique opportunity to see the iconic Torii Gate from the water, which was traditionally the original entrance to Miyajima Island! Our guide, Tomo, was lovely, incredibly informative and showed such kindness and courtesy towards our two boys, making the experience even more enjoyable. The paddling was easy and relaxed, making this a fantastic experience even for beginners. Although we have kayaked before, we felt that anyone new to kayaking would be absolutely fine. The weather wasn’t quite warm enough for a swim, but the boys still had a great time skimming rocks along the shoreline. A big thank you to Tomo for taking photos of our family, making us feel so welcome and sharing his knowledge of this beautiful island. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Miyajima. Seeing the Torii Gate from the water is a very special experience!
