The van was easy to find at the port and it was a very comfortable ride. It was a small group of 11 people and the tour guide was pleasant and professional. It was a wonderful way to see Mount Lofty and the German town. As a big bonus, our tour guide pointed out a koala in a tree when visiting Mt Lofty.

I hesitated because the tour fee was high, but I'm glad I joined. The scenery on the way to the ferry terminal was beautiful. The bus driver gave us commentary on the small towns we passed through and even slowed down where we could see kangaroos (we saw lots of wild kangaroos!). The ferry ride was about 40 minutes, and we were back on the bus, enjoying the beautiful scenery while the driver/guide told us all about the ecosystem and history of Kangaroo Island. The ferry was an hour late that day, so we started with lunch. Chicken salad and cake. Made with fresh ingredients, it was delicious. Afterwards, we went to the mysterious Remarkable Rocks and then walked along the beach with a ranger at Seal Bay, which was originally scheduled for the morning. We saw sea lions sleeping nearby and coming up from the sea. Baby sea lions were also waddling around. Afterwards, we visited a facility with protected kangaroos and koalas, where we fed the kangaroos and touched the backs of the koalas! Since it was getting close to midnight on the way back, the guide recommended restaurants, pubs, and supermarkets, and we ate fish and chips at a pub before heading back. It was a long day, but it was packed with activities and I'm very satisfied.

Well presented by staff. On time. Interesting content. Informative content. A last minute decision to book it and glad we did - discovered lots about Adelaide.
