Reviews: Kyushu One Day Tour: Kamikashima Kumano Shrine + Mount Aso (Free Shuttle Bus) + Kusasenri + Kurokawa Onsen, Depart from Fukuoka

Miss Nicole was a very pleasant tour guide, and the trip was as expected due to the long travel. I enjoyed ir regardless, and I like how they update periodically on Whats-up so we won't overstay in one location.

Reviews: Kyushu Hidden Gems 1-day Tour: Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine + Mount Aso + Kusasenri + Kurokawa Onsen

My day trip to Kitakyushu was absolutely perfect! 🐾 Kumano Shrine is surrounded by lush, towering ancient trees 🌳, and the air is always filled with a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere 🧘‍♀️. Every scene is poetic, and every snapshot is a picture-perfect moment 📸. The streams of Kurokawa Onsen are crystal clear 💧, with schools of small fish swimming freely 🐟. The flower-frame viewing platform is a perfect spot for taking beautiful photos ✨, with the majestic mountain scenery in the background 🏞️. Special thanks to our guide Miyamoto and driver Sadako 🙏. Their attentive and thoughtful service throughout the trip 🤝 made the whole trip much more relaxed and enjoyable 😊. This unique experience, where natural scenery and cultural heritage are so cleverly blended, is truly rare 🌟, and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to deeply experience the local culture 👍!

Reviews: A day trip to Mount Aso, Kusasenri, Kurokawa Onsen, and the Minami-Aso Railway in Kyushu, Japan.

Excellent guide by Miss Kong ! she is very knowledgeable, friendly and funny ! very clear on all instructions and to me the highlight of our kyushu trip. The reason i chose this trip was due to the difficult public transportation but this tour make it possible for it to be done in one day ! the driving was enjoyable , toilet breaks mentioned by Ms Kong all the time, she also gave heads up if the weather in Mt Aso is good or not. If not good the trip to Mt Aso crater might be cancelled but thankfully the weather was good, and its not anybodys fault if the weather is bad ! Ms Kong speak mainly chinese and due to my limited language she does her best to speak English at times , and we really appreciate her effort. I would definetly recommend this tour to everybody that wants a full Mt Aso tour that leaves from Kumamoto ! FYI i bring a 5 year old and she did enjoy it very much also !

Reviews: Japan Fukuoka Kyushu must-experience: Aso Kusasenri, Kurokawa Onsen, special railway 1-day tour
Guest User2026-09-22
Mount Aso was closed, so we could only view it from a distance. The scenery in Kusasenri was quite nice. For Kurokawa Onsen, we chose the Yamagawa Private Bath, which had a bilingual (Chinese and English) guide. We didn't take the scenic train mentioned in the itinerary, but I wasn't particularly interested anyway, so it didn't bother me. Overall, I was satisfied.

Reviews: 1-day tour to Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine and Aso Volcano in Kumamoto, Japan with complimentary shuttle service and Kurokawa Onsen
Guest User2026-09-14
Alex was fantastic! A bilingual (English and Chinese) tour guide. This trip not only introduced me to the sights but also helped me practice my listening skills—it was excellent value for money. The descriptions of each attraction were very clear and concise, and his language was vivid, making it much more interesting than exploring on my own. In addition to today's attractions, Alex also introduced Beppu at the end of the trip. I'm going to Beppu the day after tomorrow, so this was incredibly helpful; much of the information couldn't be found online.
