Reviews: Porto: Live Portuguese Fado Experience with Port Wine
Guest User2026-01-03
We had an exceptional experience at Fado na Baixa in Porto. The performance featured highly professional musicians and singers who delivered traditional fado music with remarkable passion and emotion. Their beautiful performances truly moved the audience. Between the live performances, the show included informative video clips that explored the history of fado, including the Coimbra style of fado and the important role of female fado singers. Learning about the origins and evolution of this music greatly deepened our appreciation of what we were hearing. The space itself was super intimate and cozy, which made the experience feel even more personal and immersive. If we return to Portugal, we would definitely love to experience this performance again. We strongly recommend Fado na Baixa to all visitors to Portugal.

Reviews: Porto: Fonseca Cellar Tour & Fado Show with Optional Dinner
Guest User2026-10-16
A second visit to Fonseca for the tour and fado. A very knowledgeable guide who spoke clearly and engaged with the group. The fado show was also very good with two young but talented musicians and a female singer who was engaging and an excellent vocalist. A highly recommended tour.

Reviews: Porto: Fado Live Music, Wine & Cultural Introduction
Guest User2026-10-07
A very nice performance, even though it was a tourist event. The musicians were truly excellent and also tried to involve the audience. My only criticism is that the introduction was very brief, and I would have liked them to have given a short explanation of what they were singing about between each piece.

A must-see! A superb, deeply moving show. Organizers, musicians, and singer—all warm and passionate about sharing the soul of fado. And a delicious port tasting to boot.
