Discover the serene beauty of Mount Batukaru,
Embark on an unforgettable sunrise trekking experience to the summit of Mount Batukaru, Bali's second-highest peak at 2,276 meters above sea level. Located in the heart of Tabanan's rainforest, this inactive volcano offers a peaceful, off-the-beaten-path alternative to Bali's more crowded hiking trails.
Your journey begins in the early hours with a hotel pickup and transfer to the base at Pura Luhur Batukaru, one of Bali's most sacred temples nestled on the mountain's slope. From there, you'll start a guided hike through dense jungle, rich in tropical flora, ancient trees, and mystical silence. The trail is serene and spiritual—often enveloped in mist—offering a unique connection with Bali's untouched highlands.
After a steady 3–4 hour hike, you'll reach the summit just in time for a stunning sunrise, where the clouds part to reveal panoramic views of Bali's mountain ranges, including Mount Agung, Mount Abang, and even parts of Lombok on a clear day.
At the top, enjoy a simple breakfast and warm drink as you take in the tranquil atmosphere. The descent offers new perspectives on the forest and occasional sightings of wildlife and exotic plants.
