Our Chinese-speaking tour guide was from mainland China (Sister Bingbing). The meeting point was easy to find. The zoo was given a fair amount of time for a day trip, but it was just so much fun, and with lunch included, we felt the time was insufficient. The snowmobiles were really fun, and the snow at Shikisai-oka was perfect for snow activities. The guide also recommended the bakery next to the Fairy Terrace; the bread was absolutely delicious. Because the return trip to Sapporo took a while, we only had time for a short visit to the Fairy Terrace. Exploring all the shops on the terrace would take quite a bit of time. However, for just browsing and taking photos, the time was enough! It was my first time on a day trip, and I had a wonderful time. The beautiful snowy scenery along the way was truly breathtaking, especially for someone from my country who rarely sees snow!â

đ Sanny absolutely killed it as our tour guide at Ashimaya Zoo! His passion for wildlife was infectious and made the whole experience so much fun đ€©. He shared crazy fun facts about the animals, like how the monkeys have a secret society đ (ok, maybe not secret, but Sanny made it sound like it). His knowledge and energy made the tour super engaging â I loved every minute! Highly recommend Sanny if you're looking for a fun, informative guide at Ashimaya Zoo đ. 5 stars!lâ

We were staying in in Asahikawa and our tour guide Rii was wonderful in facilitating us being able to join and leave the tour . She was very helpful throughout the trip and was definitely one of the highlights in our booking.â

Most of the itinerary was followed. Quite compacted since the sun sets earlier in winter. Went Asahiyama Zoo, the poplar tree "Ken & Mary", Snowmobile at Shikisai-no-oka and lastly Takushinkan Gallery (not Ningle Terrace). The biggest disappointment was missing out on Ningle Terrace which was the highlight of why I wanted to take this tour. However, tour did indicate that if traffic controls are in place, they will skip it. Bus stopped a few times for rest and toilet breaks during the 2-plus hour journey from Sapporo and back to Sapporo. Tour guide, Tenzo, spoke in English and Chinese to intro us to the region - food wise and places to go. Overall, it was a good tour for those who don't drive.â
