Reviews: Hokkaido Biei & Furano Flower Fields Day Tour from Sapporo: Shikisai-no-Oka(Ticket Included), Farm Tomita, Blue Pond & Shirahige Waterfall (Optional: 9-Pax Small Group / Hotel Pick-up)

On July 19, 2026, I took a day trip. I had booked a large bus tour, but due to insufficient participants, I was upgraded to a smaller car tour for free, and luckily, I even got to sit in the front passenger seat. There were nine people in the group, half of whom were foreigners. Our driver and guide, Mimi, was a young woman from Beijing. She was fluent in both Japanese and English, very knowledgeable, and a skilled driver. She also cleverly avoided peak-hour parking queues (it was a three-day weekend in Japan, so there were many cars). The experience was excellent. The weather was also nice, mostly cloudy, with rain only at the end of our visit to Shikisai-gaoka. Although the lavender in Furano was almost finished blooming, and other flowers weren't in full bloom, on a sunny summer day, Biei felt like a scene from a manga.

I had a wonderful two-day tour with Mr. Shao during my trip to Hokkaido, and I felt so lucky to have such a great guide! Mr. Shao was witty and humorous, making the atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable throughout the trip. His explanations were also very interesting. What I appreciated most was that he not only showed us around but also offered sincere shopping advice. He directly told us what was worth buying and what we might easily make a mistake, which made him seem very reliable and not just pushing sales tactics. I also had my child with me for the entire two days, and Mr. Shao took great care of us, making the whole trip easy and enjoyable. My child had a lot of fun and wasn't tired or bored at all. Thank you so much, Mr. Shao, for your company these past two days. You've given us wonderful memories of our Hokkaido trip! If I have the chance to come to Hokkaido again, I hope to meet Mr. Shao again! 😊

This was my first visit to Sapporo and my first bus tour, and it was a truly wonderful experience. Thanks to Guide Inho's detailed explanations and his incredibly kind and attentive service to each and every member of the group, we had an enjoyable tour despite the long duration (traffic was heavy due to the Japanese holiday). I now have a reason to visit Sapporo again.

The itinerary was well-planned, and our tour guide, Bingbing, was incredibly kind. At the Asahikawa Zoo stop, she personally led us to the penguin parade area, where we found a great viewing spot. Along the way, she also recommended other attractions and local delicacies. The weather was fantastic today, and we visited all the attractions, plus the tour guide gave us 5 to 10 minutes more time than usual. We enjoyed local cuisine and bought some souvenirs we liked. So happy! 😃

I was a little worried because it was a reasonably priced tour with tickets included, but the bus was clean and our guide, Leo, was very kind. He even took us to places that weren't on the itinerary, and we had a great time! In July, the lavender was in full bloom and we enjoyed the beautiful scenery, and in August, we took this tour again to see the colorful fields and it was absolutely stunning! It would have been even better if the weather had been nicer, but we were very satisfied to be able to enjoy the scenery of each season.
