I was able to enter smoothly as all I had to do was show my ticket at the gate. I had also downloaded an audio guide in advance, so I was able to tour Pompeii while listening to explanations. However, there is no audio guide available in Japanese, so if you don't understand English, I recommend using the service where a Japanese-speaking staff member will guide you.

Excellent guide Alberto (I think, sorry if I misspelled his name). An archaeologist who excavates on site, he gave us a perfect tour where you could tell he knows and loves what he does! Thank you!

Excellent tour guide, Mikele was really knowledgeable and even made the coach journey interesting. Well organised and very prompt. Patrizia was an excellent teacher at Pompeii and really made the tour more interesting.
