Following the recommendations on Italy's must-see attractions list, I made a special trip to the Pompeii archaeological site. 🎯 Choosing the list was definitely the right decision; it truly deserves the "must-see" label! The overall experience was fantastic. From the natural scenery to the authentic cultural elements, everything left a deep impression on me. I must give it a high score! 👍 At the entrance to the ancient city, our guide let us taste a leaf from a roadside tree—it was surprisingly black pepper flavored! 🌿One bite and you're pleasantly surprised! It's an instant delight for your taste buds. This unique and off-the-beaten-path experience is truly unforgettable on any trip! Here are a few useful tips for you: ☀️Best time to visit: September and October. Southern European weather is sunny and breezy, making it very comfortable. We recommend entering as soon as the park opens in the morning, when the light and temperature are perfect. 🧴Sunscreen and hydration are essential: There's little shade in the ancient city, so be sure to bring sunscreen, a hat, and plenty of water. 🎧Guided tours are recommended: It's really hard to understand everything on your own. A guided tour makes the trip worthwhile. Two hours of walking and taking photos can be a bit rushed, so be sure to allow enough time. ⚠️A word of caution: While there are restaurants and restrooms at the entrance, don't buy fruit cups! 😅 Two cups cost over 100 RMB, they look nice, but they're expensive and not fresh! Overall, Pompeii offers the best experience in the morning. If you want to feel the awe of history and civilization, this is a must-see! 💛

An unforgettable experience! You definitely need to visit, preferably with a guide (especially if you're not familiar with the site). There were some issues with activating your ticket, so please read all instructions carefully (sent by email, on the website, etc.) and leave a phone number that will work with WhatsApp!

Pompeii is an amazing site on its own, but having Ella as our guide really brought it to life. It's a big area and she was able to show us the most impactful sights and provide context to help us envision life in Pompeii. She kept our three teenagers engaged, which is not always easy. If you're going to see Pompeii, we highly recommend doing it in the capable hands of an archaeologist like Ella.
