Song Dynasty Damingfu CityRuins
Damingfu is located in Handan City. It is the core relic of "Beijing", one of the "Four Capitals" of the Northern Song Dynasty. The existing city walls, gate foundations and moat outlines provide precious evidence for the study of the capital system and military defense system of the Song Dynasty. The city was first built during the reign of Emperor Xizong of the Tang Dynasty. It was promoted to "Beijing" in the second year of the Qingli period of the Northern Song Dynasty (1042), becoming a strategic place to resist the southward advance of the Liao Kingdom. During its heyday, the circumference of the city wall was about 48 miles, second only to Tokyo Bianliang in size. Archaeological excavations have revealed the rammed earth layer of the city wall, brick-built drainage ditches and the cross street pattern in the city. A large number of Song Dynasty porcelain, copper coins, architectural components and other cultural relics have been unearthed, confirming the record of "high city walls, deep moats, and powerful armor and soldiers" in the "History of the Song Dynasty". The hometown of Tai Chi has well-preserved ancient city walls and many performance programs, but it is still quite commercialized. During the National Day holiday, there are a lot of tourists, especially at night, which causes serious traffic jams.

Shanxi is truly magical; this is my fourth trip in a year. This time, I was with my parents, so we took it slow, visiting two scenic spots a day. Jinci Temple was a must-see; as a World Heritage Site, it would be a shame to miss it. The architecture here is completely different from other places, unique to Shanxi Province. The autumn scenery along the way was also exceptionally beautiful. I won't go into too much detail about Jinci Temple; you can easily find detailed information online. In short, Shanxi is a great place, and Taiyuan is a great transit point.

It was really fun! Even though it was outside the National Day holiday, it was still quite crowded. The NPC interactions were great. The iron flower display is a must-see. The music and parade at night were especially exciting. It's a place I would definitely fly back to.

It's very worthwhile, but it's also very crowded, which might slightly detract from the overall experience. However, the people are incredibly welcoming, and there are many beautiful spots for taking photos. The food is also affordable and inexpensive, which kids enjoy. I'll definitely go back when it's less crowded.

We accompanied a family member to Qilu Hospital for a medical appointment and chose this Ji Hotel. It's very close to the hospital, less than a ten-minute walk, which is very convenient. The room was clean and tidy, and the environment was quiet, allowing for a good rest. There's also a laundry and fitness area. The front desk was responsive, and check-in was smooth, making it ideal for accompanying family members to medical appointments. Most importantly, parking is convenient.
