Things to do in Aohan Banner

The hot spring is very clean and the environment is very good. It's my first time here. The hot spring water here feels different from other places. It has a very natural feeling.

It is located in the eastern part of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, in the middle reaches of Laoha River, the main stream of Xiliaohe River. Unlike Karamay Hongshan Lake, it is located at the junction of Songshan District, Aohan Banner and Wengniute Banner of Chifeng City. The Hongshan Reservoir Management Bureau is located in Wuduntaohai Town, Weng Banner.

I highly recommend tour guide Xiao Wang (number ending in 8770)! His explanations are engaging and vivid, bringing the history of the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China to life in a relatable way, not just reading from a textbook. He's considerate of everyone's pace, patiently answers all questions, and points out great photo spots. There's absolutely no hard selling. Only after listening to him do you truly understand the stories behind each palace and mansion. Visit him in Shenyang for a truly unforgettable experience! ✨

The Shenyang Imperial Palace is also very large; by the end, I was completely exhausted. Inside the scenic area, there's Zhang Xueliang's former residence, and a financial museum was included as a bonus. All of these were quite interesting and worth seeing.

There were so many people and tourists that I didn't have time to take in many things. It's like a low-end version of the Forbidden City in Beijing. Many of the artifacts on display were discarded from the Forbidden City. Some rooms were off-limits, so people crowded around the entrances to take photos. There was no lighting inside, so the photos didn't look great. The architecture is still quite distinctive.

Inner Mongolia Hongshan Cultural Museum is located near the Aohan Banner Government (No. 71, Xinhui Road, Xinhui City), which is not the same place as the Hongshan Cultural Museum in Chifeng City (Hongshan Road, next to Hongshan Park). A lot of people posted it wrong upstairs. Chifeng Hongshan Cultural Museum can be reached by taxi in Chifeng City, but Inner Mongolia Hongshan Cultural Museum cannot. (I went to the Hongshan Cultural Museum in Chifeng City, the two places are quite far apart) When going to Inner Mongolia Hongshan Cultural Museum, please note that this place is not accessible by train. There is a train from Chifeng South Station to Aohan, but it is an hour's drive between Aohan Railway Station and Inner Mongolia Hongshan Cultural Museum. The other closer train station is Sidaowan Station, which also takes more than 40 minutes, and both are It's a small rural station, so you can't take a taxi. I took a trip and something was wrong, so I immediately returned to Chifeng South Station. I hope this is helpful to everyone. Chifeng City can only be reached by car from Aohan Banner County, and the journey takes about 2 hours. Since I was using a Hong Kong and Macao resident card, I couldn’t book a bus ticket on 12306 (you can only use the system to book with a mainland ID card), so I went to the Niuheliang ruins instead.

Suitable for family walks, outings, and leisurely strolls. It was a bit hot during August, the summer peak season; the evenings were cool, but the days were still very sunny and hot. The scenery was beautiful, but it was very crowded, as it's a famous tourist attraction.

This grassland is highly recommended. We visited in autumn, and although it wasn't as golden, it's still worth a second visit. The grassland in spring is much greener, stretching as far as the eye can see like an oasis. While the birch forests are beautiful from afar, up close they're covered in horse manure—black and polluting, making the grassland smell and the experience unpleasant for tourists, completely masking the earthy aroma. We suggest that the horse owners pick up the manure to give tourists a better impression. Overall, it's a very beautiful environment and worth visiting. Be prepared for the cold; it gets just as cold, or even colder, at night.

If we're talking about the most famous attraction in Changli County, Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province, it has to be the Aranya Community. Originally a real estate development project intended as a community, it has now transformed into a popular tourist destination. This is because the unique atmosphere created by the cultural heritage and neighborly relations within the Aranya Community makes both residents and visitors feel comfortable. Due to the success of the Aranya project, it's now undoubtedly Changli's must-visit spot for social media check-ins, and it's definitely worth a visit.
