Musée National de la Maison Bonaparte

The Bonaparte family home in the old town of Ajaccio is an impressive building. It is Napoleon's place of birth, and he spent nine years of his childhood here. The house was looted by Corsican nationalists in 1793. Later, Napoleon's mother rebuilt it into the form seen today. It is now a national museum that mainly holds exhibitions of Bonaparte family artifacts, but these are usually temporary and there are few long-term displays.

Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore
