Their set lunch got the Segovia soup, suckling pig, which cover the 2 special food in the area and cheaper than order alone. Food is tasty.

El Redebal is down a side street from the main drag. It has a large sunlit inside and a terrace. The service is excellent with the owner and waiter both handling English well. The dishes are really innovative. Ine day I had the 19euro lunch - segovian salad, duck knuckle and Greek yoghurt, and the next day I had to go back and had fried artichoke then puff pastry with suckling pig and mushrooms. El Redebal is different to all the other restaurants I went to in Segovia and I would definitely return. Highly recommended.

We looked for a restaurant with an authentic feel for our first day in Spain, a restaurant where we could relax and enjoy local cuisine made with care and attention to every detail. We were so happy with our choice! El Redebal Bistro had excellent ambiance where the owner and his staff attended to your every need and really cared about your experience. The food was excellent! We had the Castillian soup, cod, and suckling pig, which were all amazing. The traditional dessert was incredible (and I am usually not a big fan of custard desserts so that is really saying something). The menu of the day was a huge bargain with the generous portions and wine included. My whole family would highly recommend this as the first choice when visiting Segovia.

A wonderful experience! The ambience off of the main street makes it a very pleasant dining experience. We enjoyed a few different dishes as well as the traditional menu of the day. The suckling pig was delicious and the carrot, apple and coconut soup was absolutely incredible. I would 100% recommended and go again when I am in the area.

We did not know what to expect from reading the reviews and we were pleasantly surprised. Both pork and ponche were excellent. The pork came a bit chill, but they just warmed it again and we enjoyed it a lot. Our compliments to the friendly staff.

Two travelers from the US, enjoying their first real meal since landing in Madrid. We were made to feel extremely welcome in spite of our rudimentary command of the language so far. We both opted for the five course truffle focused lunch.  Courses included roasted eggplant with lightly sweetened yogurt and some finely grated black truffle, followed by calimari pasta with fresh mushrooms in a mushroom broth, large shaving of the same truffle. Two medallions of cod seared perfectly with a thia corn sauce as well as a nice barley and roasted veg side ditto on the truffle. This was followed by two large medallions of venison over au gratin potatoes with a light mustard smear and pine nuts with of course a generous amount of said truffle. Dessert was a flan incorporating finely shaved truffle in a honeyish reduction which was over the top decadent! All this for 75 euros, which would darn near  be just the cost of said truffle in the states. Highly recommended!!!

The food was mediocre at best. Our group consisted of 10 people, 8 of whom ordered the set menu, which included a starter, main course, a glass of wine, a glass of water, and dessert.Two people ordered &agrave; la carte. One of them asked for a single glass of wine. To our surprise, the bill included the cost of a whole bottle of wine, even though only one glass had been ordered. When we asked the waiter about it, we were told that a second bottle had been opened, so it was added to the bill. We believe that if guests are being charged for a full bottle, it should be left on the table&mdash;which it wasn&rsquo;t.We were also told that we weren&rsquo;t charged for water, even though a glass of water was clearly part of the set menu. The main dish&mdash;suckling pig&mdash;was served without any sides. I was served a portion with ribs, which had barely any meat on it.Unfortunately, this was our first and last visit to this place.

When the food is prepared by an expert and specialist, it shows; as it did here. When a host takes pains to treat his customers as his guests, it shows; as it did here. A quiet dinner where we were well fed and treated like family. We experienced a certain, small form of perfection.
