Wei Yi breakfast is definitely a time-honored brand in Ningbo. For many people in Ningbo, the only breakfast they know about is Wei Yi. It can be said to be the old foundation of Ningbo. A bowl of wontons and a few pan-fried buns can kill a whole morning. Many people drive here just for this bowl of soy sauce wontons. A breakfast spot popular with Ningbo locals. After reading the reviews, I made the 2-kilometer detour to grab some breakfast. It's an old shop on the edge of a neighborhood, and most of the people eating breakfast there are locals. They have quite a wide variety of breakfast options. My first time there, I randomly ordered two. A bowl of wonton noodles. The wontons were thin-skinned and large, and the meat was fresh. The soy sauce in the noodle soup must have been specially brewed and processed in-house. Even though it was a clear broth, it was still very fresh, though a bit salty towards the end. The pot stickers were amazing. The skin was thin and pan-fried, and there was still some broth inside after a bite, which was unexpected. Very good. I saw other people ordering steamed buns, and the soup dumplings seemed pretty good, too. There's also red bean paste soup, etc. I'll bookmark and like this and come back next time.

I was still thinking about what to eat for breakfast the next day, and my friend said that he had taken a fancy to this local breakfast shop in Ningbo. It is about 2.3 kilometers away from the hotel where I stayed. I didn’t feel like walking early in the morning, so I took a bus directly there. I was afraid of the crowds, so I went out early. At 7:30 on Sunday morning, there were not many people in the store, and you could sit anywhere, but after we finished eating, there were obviously more people. Fresh meat wontons, a bowl of soy sauce soup base contains 10 wontons, the size of the wontons is medium, and the meat filling is quite large. Fresh meat pot stickers, the price is quite cheap, but the pot sticker skin is too oily and there is not much juice. Fresh meat steamed buns, I was shocked when I took a bite, this is the skin of the buns, it is thick... it loses the meaning of steamed buns.
