The Ren Family Compound, located on Datong Road in Yucheng County, is a complex of multi-story quadrangle courtyards and a relatively well-preserved Qing Dynasty residence in eastern Henan. It was built during the Jiaqing and Daoguang reigns of the mid-Qing Dynasty after Ren Zhuangyou, the 15th-generation descendant of the Ren family, who had lived in Mamuji for generations, was awarded the title of "Second Rank Official." Subsequent additions later formed a large quadrangle courtyard complex. Its main components are located in the east and west courtyards on the north side of the middle section of Datong Road. Most of the buildings in the east courtyard have been renovated and no longer resemble their original appearance. The west courtyard, which is now the Ren Family Compound, remains well-preserved.
