and I don't want to hurt them BUT there are a lot of caveats about this location. The refrigerator ran VERY HOT and the MDF cabinet it rested in was also getting very hot ... I asked a staffer to come down for help and the response was immediate. The attendant said ”everything is fine”, but I'M NOT FINE with an overheating refrigerator that could turn me into a crispy critter. When I asked the staffer unplugged the refrigerator and the next day while I was out they kindly put in a new refrigerator. The plumbing is iffy ... you know how you are used to turning hot water ON and cold water ON ... well, somehow it is reversed in this hotel. Not insurmountable but still surprising. There was a language barrier issue when I wanted to extend my stay and was told to return in four hours. Nice location, great staff, reasonably clean, a large dog area in rear of the property, walking distance to several restaurants. I will say management is very responsive because when I first pulled into the parking lot to ask about pricing, unknown to me, management was watching and assigned me to the room I'd parked directly in front of. Thoughtful and appreciated! Dog friendly, $25 per night. Free parking Quiet at night Conveniently situated to what I needed. Schulenburg, I LOVE YOU!
