Hotel Trio Healdsburg

I recently spent the weekend here for a Sonoma wedding, and I loved this hotel. The breakfast spread was fantastic, for starters. Lots of variety. And the hotel staff were on top of it, clearing tables quickly and making sure everything was restocked to keep pace with the demand. Love the lobby and the lobby bar, too. 24/7 coffee, so easy to grab a cup and chill, maybe watch TV. The room & especially the kitchen were clean and well appointed. It was great to be able to store our local winery whites in the fridge, for a nightcap on the room balcony. And then there's Healdsburg and the surrounding area: charming, full of great food & great wine, and scenic. The perfect getaway, whether for a weekend or longer. I highly recommend this hotel. Oh, and can't forget their convenience shuttle. A Mercedes van, no less. And the gym! Not some typical, dumpy hotel gym with one treadmill, a physioball, and a few free weights. This gym makes it possible to get in a decent workout!
The Lodge at Healdsburg, Tapestry Collection by Hilton

Staying at The Lodge was a great experience, from check in to check out. I liked the lobby/wine bar. Cool vibe. The ladies who were exceptionally helpful were Brook (she checked us in and gave GREAT recommendations for wineries and food) and Angie in the evening when we returned from our day of being out and about. We stayed a total of 3 nights, 4 days. It was perfect. The breakfast was really good and the coffee too. We hung out quite a bit out doors, enjoying the weather. We had a corner room (518). Zero noise. I highly recommend that room for sure. Beautifully decorated with a fire place. The entire property is chic. In the 4 days we were there, we couldn’t see or do everything we wanted in Healdsburg, so we will just have to come back and do the rest. We will 100% stay at The Lodge again!!
Hotel Vinea, a Travelodge by Wyndham

Staff was super nice. Don't expect anything fancy here. The high prices are only because it's in wine country, not because it's an upscale place. 3 stories, but no elevator. Hotel was clean and I could tell they've done upgrades to try to keep it up to par, but there's only so much they can do with an older property like this. Bed was very comfortable. Shower was great, had a wand. Room was tiny, which was fine, we were just sleeping in it. Typical Wyndham blah breakfast. (waffles, pastries, cereal, apples, oranges, yogurt). Refrigerator and microwave in the room is nice. I've stayed at all 4 of the hotels at the Dry Creek exit. The only one worth bragging about is the Hotel Trio by Marriott (very nice, would recommend to anyone). The other 3 are just old hotels that have fancy names attached to them. I'd rate this one a distant #2, then the Hilton, followed by the Best Western. If the Marriott isn't available, probably worth driving into Windsor instead of staying in Healdsburg.
Fairview Inn & Suites

We needed to be within walking distance of the center off Healdsburg without breaking the bank. We had modest expectations and knew about some of the quirks of the place (namely very thin walls!!), so we arrived with eyes wide open. The front desk staff was nice and helpful. The room was standard- nice size, comfortable bed, functioning bathroom. Only in wine country would a hotel room normally worth about $75 cost $200, but again, we knew how expensive the comparable places were. So, for 2 nights, it was certainly fine and we spent little time in the rom other than sleeping and showering. My guess is if we weren't restricted to walking, that other options a few miles away would have been a better value proposition. No raving, nor no complaints!
